We have been customers of this restaurant for a long time and it always continues to maintain or exceed our expectations. The revisitation of traditional dishes from the "lower Po Valley" is done with taste, and with a very welcome attention to the presentation of the dishes. The menu includes some "refined" dishes, for example based on white truffles, which enrich the offer for more demanding customers. The wine list is very rich. The environment, especially the room on the ground floor, is extremely elegant and welcoming.

Rustic but elegant restaurant in Villanova di Reggiolo, immersed in the countryside of the lower Reggio Emilia area. Courteous and non-intrusive service. Menu that reflects the Emilian tradition, with a touch of classic catering, with simple but well-executed dishes. We ate 1 first course and 1 second course each, with three bottles of Nebbiolo (a praise for the well-stocked and not obvious wine list). The tagliolini with black truffle are delicious, as are the ricotta gnocchi with cheese fondue and ham crumble and the macaroni with duck ragù. The truffle crostini and pumpkin soufflé are also excellent. On the second courses, the pork cheek with potato cream and Fassona steak is exquisite. The sliced ​​beef is also excellent. In all, with three bottles of Nebbiolo, water and coffee we spent around €50 per person, which was certainly fair. Also recommended for important occasions and family dinners.

Piatti ben presentati e qualità del cibo, a mio vedere, ottima. Servizio di buon livello. Hanno una carta dei vini molto ben assortita, con anche ampia scelta di "bollicine" italiane e straniere. Scelta di grappe invidiabile, imbarazzante scegliere. Rapporto qualità prezzo buono, sicuramente non economico ma comunque, visto il livello del locale, il prezzo è più che giustificato. Adatto anche a occasioni particolari, anche per gruppi.... ma non troppo numerosi.

Excellent dinner at the restaurant in Reggiolo/Rolo le Franchine. The charcuterie starters were delicious, with high quality meats and good giardiniera. The spare ribs and pork cheek were very tasty. The desserts, especially the apple and ricotta cake, were exceptional. The price was right for the quality of the food. The atmosphere was pleasant for a dinner with friends. The service was good. Recommended for those looking for good food and a positive experience.
