The rooms are quaint and typical of the area. Each room tells a story of who once lived there. For those who are used to it, there's no TV in these rooms—at least mine! Which makes everything more authentic.

Magnificent overnight stay in this magical place. An old cave transformed into a bedroom with a small alcove. The exterior facade is sublime. Comfortable bedding. High-quality amenities. Look carefully at the period photos to learn about the work carried out (7 years ago) and the living conditions of the local population at the time. Special mention to our host who spoke impeccable French. Bravo

Truly a magnificent place. My family (2 adults and 5 girls) and I stayed overnight in Matera, and "Le Dodici Lune" turned out to be an excellent choice. The apartment is located in the heart of the historic city and feels like we've stepped back in time. Entering the cave, we were immersed in a unique atmosphere and were able to see how families lived before the state evicted them. The breakfast was excellent. Kudos to the owners.

Top location, beautiful rooms in all categories (even the standard category, and the upscale categories as well), delicious and plentiful breakfast, and friendly and impeccable service. Highly recommended!

25/07/2025: Qualità e Professionalità. Il posto giusto per gustare un dolce strepitoso e artigianale. Non potete non assaggiare le favolose “Tette”. Eccezionale.
09/06/2025: Ice cream shop with few flavors but all excellent, outdoor patio even if in the shade very hot, muggy because it is completely closed by PVC curtains, there is no air circulation, staying there to enjoy the excellent artisanal ice cream they sell is impossible because it makes you feel sick.

25/08/2025: A simply exquisite grill and butcher shop. The family who runs it is super friendly, and the meat they cook is incredibly good! If you're in Marconia, you can't miss it.
