Visiting Arezzo, we had dinner at Le Chiavi d’Oro and its been an extremely pleasant experience. The decor is modern but - somehow - integrates well in a Medieval town. Food is traditional with some twists that add a pleasant surprise to taste without exceeding the borders of experimentation. Three courses dinner for 2 people (one glass on fine red wine) 100€ which is absolutely in line with the quality. Definitely a place where to stop by. We'll be back once in Arezzo again

Ristorante elegante nel pieno centro storico di Arezzo, Le Chiavi d’Oro offre una cucina che adatta la cucina tradizionale al gusto contemporaneo mescolando prodotti e preparazioni provenienti da tutta la penisola con l’intento di creare una cucina delicata ma ricca di sapori.
Ho trovato buono il carciofo ripieno con crema di carciofi, fonduta di parmigiano e topinambur croccante, cosi’ come la guancetta in lenta cottura con foie gras, agretti e sedano e la crema di mascarpone con fragole. Il piatto migliore è stato pero’ il primo, i ravioli ripieni di amatriciana con crumble di nduja, provola e broccoli. Il tutto accompagnato da una discreta barbera.

We had reserved a table and were already asked by email to come a little later than we wanted. On site, the waitress kept telling us off every 5 minutes that it would take another 5 minutes. The waiters all seemed very stressed, but it was also busy and to be expected for a Saturday. The waiters were not particularly attentive and unfriendly. Only one lady made a little effort. The food came quickly, as if they wanted to get rid of us quickly. It tasted very good. Maybe the restaurant shouldn't promise reservations if it's already fully booked. Then it would have a lot of potential.

Il locale si trova in una zona molto centrale di Arezzo, a due passi dalla basilica di San Francesco. All’interno è un ottimo esempio di design con architettura moderna, sobrio e lineare. I veri protagonisti sono i piatti, superbi, ricchi di sapore, divinamente presentati. Ogni ingrediente esplode in bocca, la cura nella preparazione è palese e lascia il desiderio di mangiarne ancora e ancora. I dolci sono superlativi, il personale squisitamente gentile conosce i piatti e sa consigliare i giusti abbinamenti con la carta dei vini veramente ampia. Assolutamente da non perdere.

The restaurant is located in a very central area of Arezzo, a stone's throw from the Basilica of San Francesco. Inside it is an excellent example of design with modern, sober and linear architecture. The real protagonists are the dishes, superb, rich in flavour, divinely presented. Each ingredient explodes in your mouth, the care taken in the preparation is clear and leaves you wanting to eat more and more. The desserts are superlative, the exquisitely kind staff knows the dishes and can recommend the right pairings with the truly extensive wine list. Absolutely not to be missed.
