The restaurant is located in a very central area of ​​Arezzo, a stone's throw from the Basilica of San Francesco. Inside it is an excellent example of design with modern, sober and linear architecture. The real protagonists are the dishes, superb, rich in flavour, divinely presented. Each ingredient explodes in your mouth, the care taken in the preparation is clear and leaves you wanting to eat more and more. The desserts are superlative, the exquisitely kind staff knows the dishes and can recommend the right pairings with the truly extensive wine list. Absolutely not to be missed.

Excellent overall. Very good appetizers. We tasted several. The cod is notable. The first courses are also very good. Exhaustive and well-made wine list. Desserts well presented but with little personality... tiramisu and hot cheesecake, my opinion. The only downside was the long wait immediately after ordering. In fact, to avoid this, we had ordered the starter of the day before the other two starters. The hunger and desire for good food were all there. But alas we were brought there about 40 minutes later. We enjoy the evening, the environment and the excellent company but then the wait becomes slightly too much. Excellent overall as written, but it would be excellent if their cuisine could reduce waiting times a little.

Appetizers The language isn't bad at all, although a pinch more salt would have made it shine. The accompaniment with the giardiniera is spot on, but watch out for the mayonnaise which was too abundant. The creamed cod croquette: slightly fibrous, but the flavor is there! Too bad the breading tastes a bit like fast food (maybe a touch of panko to make it more "homemade"?). The potato cream with broccoli that accompanied the croquette was excellent, a very good combination. Main courses The quail? Excellent in its own right, but we only saw a few gills of the truffle, I would have expected a triumph! Luckily the pumpkin cream acted as a lifesaver, bringing a little sweetness to balance. The guinea fowl (balanced and much more pleasant but with a poor presentation) beat the challenge with the quail. Dessert Here we are truly at another level: the hot cheesecake is a small work of art! A twist not to be missed. Wine The sommelier suggested an Enrico Gatti Franciacorta, and we must say that it was spot on. Fresh and ideal to accompany the entire menu. Location The place has two souls. The first room is very cute, while the second remains a little more anonymous and could use a refresh: a restyling of the bookcase, perhaps? On the other hand, the composition of historic furniture doors is very nice and enriches the environment! The open kitchen in the glass cube and the frescoed vault are incredible gems that deserve due prominence. Conclusion In summary, Le Chiavi d'Oro is an enjoyable experience, with a few tweaks here and there that would really make a difference. The service was a bit frenetic, with courses arriving without the right pauses. The total bill for two people of 158 euros makes it an exceptional quality/price ratio. Overall, though, we liked it – a few tweaks, and the restaurant is ready to conquer great heights!

Sono tornato in questo ristorante dopo moltissimi anni. Non sono di Arezzo. Ne avevo un ottimo ricordo che viene confermato, anzi al dire il vero migliorato. Offre una sofisticata elaborazione e impiattamento delle proposte gastronomiche. Tra gli antipasti ho scelto una crocchetta di baccalà mantecato su una crema di caciocavallo con frigitello. Effettivamente sembra una crocchetta di patata! Una squisitezza. Per primo dei quadrucci, piccoli ravioli con granchio e spigola e pochi pomodorini. Una panna cotta con un velo al sapore di arancio perfetta anche per consistenza. Vino siciliano bianco e vin santo di qualità (non il solito liquorino dolciastro. Il prezzo è adeguato per la tipologia del ristorante ben arredato, stile sobrio e leggero, ampie vetrate, pareti bianche con arredi di legno e mensole di legno grandi con libri ben distribuiti. Personale molto professionale e servizio con tempi giusti.
