Le Burle In Capalbio

We're in Capalbio, or rather, no: you pass the hamlet of Borgo Carige on the side, and you walk up to the famous village, but you only stop if there's an event going on. And yet, there's (almost) everything, including a small restaurant. I hadn't been there in the last 15 years because it's too close to home, and I wouldn't think of eating out so close. A serious mistake, because the food here is excellent, especially fish, but not exclusively, and you don't have to wash glasses and plates. At the back, hidden from the street, is a covered veranda all year round. The table setting is well-appointed, the service excellent, and the first courses, main courses, and appetizers are all good. I haven't tried the Maremma meat specialties yet. The wine list is interesting, with some from beyond the Alps. Reasonable prices.

Delicious food in a picturesque setting. I'm not kidding, I really loved the decor—it's very welcoming, and they also have a spacious dining room. The staff was excellent and accommodated me right away, even though I arrived very early for dinner. The tagliata was excellent, though. It's been bookmarked. The dessert, whose name I can't remember, was delicious. The price was very fair. Thank you.

Excellent service, shame about the lack of parking

We had decided to visit the Tarot Garden, and along the way we found this place, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We ate very well outside in a shaded area. It's a family-run restaurant, also a stop for many workers on their lunch break. The seafood dishes are very good. The appetizers were excellent, with many delicious and tasty selections (mussels, anchovies, octopus, tuna, etc.). The spaghetti with clams was delicious, and the fried fish also lived up to expectations.

A small restaurant in Borgo Carige... From the outside, it looks like a simple bar... but it's not. Excellent ingredients. The maltagliati with clams and mushrooms is definitely worth ordering, paired with the house wine (a very good, yet not at all light, Vermentino). The staff and owners are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Exquisite food, impeccable service, and a very warm atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Outdoor tables in a very nice internal courtyard.

Small outdoor space compared to the bar at the entrance. Good quality seafood and local cuisine. Prices appropriate to the context. Better to book.
