I hadn't visited the restaurant in a couple, maybe three, years. Something must have happened in the kitchen, or perhaps I just had a night that wasn't up to par with previous visits. Let's hope for a full return.
I had lunch at L'Arcimboldo in Bologna and really enjoyed it. The cuisine is creative yet balanced, with dishes carefully crafted in both flavor and presentation. The atmosphere is intimate and refined, and the service is attentive and professional. You can sense the attention to detail in the ingredients and pairings. A truly high-quality experience, highly recommended.
First time at this restaurant, excellent. I had the paccheri with cod. The flavor was good, but the pasta was way too undercooked (I like pasta al dente, but not quite this good). My partner had the ravioli. It was so many ingredients thrown together that we couldn't figure out how they were made. Attentive service, definitely high prices.
A great find. It blends traditional Bolognese dishes with a unique twist and excellent presentation. The San Petronio tortellini are very good with just Parmesan, but the flavor is incredible. The tortelli in brodo are completely homemade—a delight. The egg with lentils is spectacular, a perfect combination of flavors. The panettone with crème anglaise is a wonderful pairing. Good wines. Very pleasant place. I highly recommend it.
