We stopped here for a quick lunch. We ordered a pizza and a beer. The pizza was good, thin crust, and the sauce and cheese were just right. We thought there was a bit too much prosciutto. Other than that, we really enjoyed it.

We stayed in via Cavour and ate at this restaurant 5 times. The food and the service were excellent. The staff knew after one visit exactly which wine we were going to have. We had various dishes which were all really good. We always ended the meal with complimentary Limoncellos. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely restaurant - ate here twice and had a good meal. Would benefit from adding some gluten free pasta meals to the menu.

Located on Via Cavour near the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, Archetto di Cavour can be described as a tourist restaurant in the best sense of the word, unlike many others such as the nearby Gran Caffè Maggiore (which you should avoid). It offers excellent value for money (a generous plate of pasta with arrabbiata sauce, perfectly spiced, for 10 euros, and three beautiful chicken fillets for 13 euros), with efficient and friendly service. While it's not a trattoria (and doesn't pretend to be), if you're looking for a perfectly decent meal without breaking the bank, Archetto di Cavour is a very good option that I highly recommend. In fact, we ate there two nights in a row! The restaurant is located practically opposite the Cavour metro station.
