Beautiful little restaurant/cafe/bar in one. Staff are very friendly and attentive and there's a reasonably large menu of sandwiches, antipasti etc. I'm a coeliac so they did a gluten free sandwich and were concerned about contamination which is great. They also had gluten free Cornetto and maxibon ice creams, incredible! Didn't expect it and a perfect Italian atmosphere.

Best cafe & bar in the region! Very friendly staff and incredibly nice guests. Great wine selection, and regional specialties are also available.

Refreshment point located in the historic center of Castiglione d'Orcia. A few outdoor tables and an internal room for breakfasts, aperitifs and various snacks. Family and friendly atmosphere.

Lovely local bar & tabbacco shop. Seating outside in the square by the pretty fountain. Friendly staff. Wasn't offered any Aperitif.

Lovely bar with welcoming staff. Very child friendly, tasty Cornetto and good coffee. The area inside is much more extensive than most Italian coffee bars and has nice vaulted ceilings. They have a selection of panni and some local produce to buy. Great for an apperitivo out the front on the seating on the street too

La Taverna di San Giuseppe

10/06/2025: Awesome food: one of the best pasta we had in Italy so far. Service: our server was professional and friendly. Wine: don’t mark up too much and had a great selection. Atmosphere: it was cozy, special, we all loved it. This restaurant has Michelin star since 2007. We counted it and I think they only missed couple years and won every single year after. We are not surprised since their food is spectacular.
08/06/2025: Gosh what an experience! This restaurant deserves all it's praise! The food was outstanding, I am still blown away by how tasty it was! The boar cooked in wine and milk for hours was especially good. The staff were all friendly and executed their jobs very well. I would recommend to anyone. Just be sure to book a table well in advance as they are very busy.
