A historic gelateria, one of those that has been around for so many years that it's become as much a part of the neighborhood as the streets surrounding it. As soon as you arrive, you immediately realize how tiny the place is: just a few square meters, everything compact, barely enough room to move around. And yet, that's precisely the beauty of it. Despite its small size, it almost seems to burst with life, aromas, and colors. The most striking thing is the impressive array of flavors available. There are so many, from the great classics to the rarest specialties, even those unique flavors you can't find anywhere else. Each tub is carefully crafted, full, fresh, and inviting. It's a gelateria that's small in size but huge in its selection: truly a place where if you don't fall in love with at least one flavor... it's because you haven't tried them all. The place is always packed, a sign that its quality has been recognized for years and continues to attract customers of all kinds: families, tourists, locals, and those who just happen to be passing by. Between granitas, creams, sorbets, house specialties, and seasonal variations, it's impossible not to find something that will make you want to return. The only slightly less positive note concerns the staff. They aren't exactly super friendly, and especially during busy periods, they tend to be a bit cold or hasty. Nothing dramatic, of course, but in such a famous and popular place, a little extra friendliness wouldn't hurt. In any case, the gelato remains the real star: creamy, rich, made with ingredients you can really taste. If you love artisanal gelato, this place is almost a must-see.

Needless to say, Lanzallatto is the story of Rome. A gelateria that's part of our history. Their smoothies and "rich" granitas with real fruit pieces added on the spot are famous! Happy childhood

I've been going to Lanzallotto for many years now, and I really appreciate the fact that it's always remained true to its roots: truly artisanal and delicious flavors, satisfying yogurts, and smoothies that quench your thirst after a really hot morning. I'm just sorry the staff is rude: it costs nothing to be kind and smile at your customers.

One of the very few truly artisanal ice cream shops, made with fresh seasonal fruit and wonderful fruit and ice cream cups that are mouth-watering!

On a Saturday evening in August, what used to be one of the best ice cream shops in Rome has now fallen into line with the others in terms of quality. I'm taking away a star because the person who served me insisted on paying in cash even though the customer before me with a lower bill than mine had paid by card without any problems.

I've been going to this ice cream shop since 1984. It used to be called LA BOMBONIERA. The owner, Domenico, is always helpful and very kind. The ice cream is always top-notch. Last night we went there with old friends from the group. It felt like a blast from the past. The 80s/90s 🙏❤️

This isn't just the best gelato in Rome, it's the best gelato in the world. I've tried so many, so many, but this one has always been unbeatable. Try it and believe it.

Vino e Cucina

09/11/2025: An old-fashioned trattoria in Frascati. The owner is friendly and no-frills, just like the place itself. We had an appetizer: cured meats, including hand-cut prosciutto, olives, grilled eggplant, and an omelette. Bruschetta with olive oil. House wine. Rigatoni, Carbonara, and bucatini amatriciana were all very good. The house wine, not exceptional, but good. The portions were very generous, and I didn't pair them with dessert. We asked for two amaro liqueurs, and the owner offered us delicious wine donuts (typical of Frascati). Oh... the host hasn't been there, and he never brought the menu, but he does everything by word of mouth. Only go if you're looking for an old-fashioned trattoria. 🙌🙌🙌 If you come in like this, you'll be satisfied. 🔝

Favilla

24/01/2026: Let's start with the strong points: we really liked the place and the service. We had an appetizer, two pizzas, and two desserts for €25 per person. You can find something cheaper in the area, but overall, the price is reasonable. The pizza dough was very good; the only thing we didn't like was the lightness of the ingredients, which were difficult to taste and distinguish. But overall, we left satisfied.
28/12/2025: I visited Favilla Pizzeria con Cucina Roma a few nights ago, and I want to tell you how it went, as I perceived it from my table. As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the welcoming and simple atmosphere, a place that doesn't try to be "cool" but rather makes you feel at ease, as if you were at a neighborhood pizzeria. I ordered a pizza, and I must say that the crust, with its crispy and light Roman dough, was truly pleasing to the palate: you could taste the quality of the flours and the long leavening, and the pizza was fragrant but not heavy to digest. The fried foods and appetizers I tried were tasty and well-made—especially the supplì, which were golden and flavorful, perfect for sharing while waiting for your pizza. The only thing that stands out, reading other experiences, is that there can sometimes be a bit of a wait to be served, especially when the place is busy, because the kitchen isn't huge and the pace is more artisanal than that of a large restaurant. In any case, I didn't wait too long, and the time was well spent chatting with everyone I met. The staff was courteous and helpful, even happy to recommend the right beer to pair with the pizza. Overall, what I take away from this experience is a nice mix of quality pizza, a genuine atmosphere, and average prices for a Roman restaurant of this price range. Definitely a place I recommend if you're looking for a casual evening with good pizza, without being too pretentious but still full of flavor.
