Wow, a €5 sandwich, two minutes from the Duomo with the Carrefour next door for cochino or dolcino, is something that can cheer up even a depressed person. And if you choose the boiled meat, with its shredded, super tender, and flavorful meat, you'll feel like you're touching heaven with your tongue. A big plus for the staff, who in the summer volunteer to work shifts in the mild temperatures of forty or fifty degrees Celsius.

Absolutely exceptional! This was my first time trying lampredotto and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Excellent quality meat, drenched in juice, tasty parsley sauce, and be sure to add the optional spicy red chili sauce as well! Comes freshly prepared, piping hot, served by one of the most iconic characters you will find manning a food cart. Get ready to get messy and savor the flavor! We had lunch there 2 days in a row, splitting a sandwich between two of us because they are so big. There are a few stools and a little counter you can eat from if you are lucky enough to grab a spot. I will return to this spot now every time I come to Florence!

The king of Florentine street food: the lampredotto sandwich is a preparation made with the eponymous beef stomach, cooked for a long time in a rich broth.
