L'Antico Borgo In Morano calabro

A truly delightful experience. The beautifully presented dishes impressed us with the harmony of flavors and aromas. Everything was delicious, from appetizer to dessert. The friendliness and warmth of the hosts, who pampered us throughout the dinner, was a real highlight.

I had the opportunity to taste a selection of dishes that were undoubtedly complex and sophisticated, the fruit of a cuisine that aims to be intellectually stimulating. However, despite the evident creative effort, the overall gastronomic experience left me with a feeling of disconnect: the offerings, while admittedly original, seemed to lack a common thread that would make their enjoyment satisfying and coherent. Furthermore, it's important to note that, despite the majority of diners not having touched some dishes at all, the bill was charged in full without any consideration. This detail contributes to an overall perception of poor customer service. The situation was further complicated by the difficulty in opening up to constructive dialogue: while praise is enthusiastically welcomed, criticism—although expressed politely and in a constructive spirit—seems to be met with a dismissive attitude that is unwilling to engage in discussion. Added to this is a service characterized by a pedantic and sometimes presumptuous attitude, which contributed to further creating a distance between the culinary experience and the customer. It's fair to acknowledge the desire to offer signature cuisine, which needs to be "understood" rather than simply savored. However, this refined complexity failed to fully captivate my palate or engage me emotionally. It remains an interesting experience, but one that, personally, didn't meet my expectations.

Excellent gourmet seafood restaurant in the center of Morano Calabro. A pleasant surprise we weren't expecting. Impeccable service. Tasty food with unusual but well-chosen combinations, and everything beautifully served. I'd say: TOP!! We had a delicious meal like we haven't had in a long time. Exceptional dishes that also tasted absolutely delicious. The service left nothing to be desired, and Italian music was a bonus. Sure, the food isn't exactly cheap, but the prices are absolutely reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

Quando ci si vuole coccolare, concedendosi una pausa pranzo in un ambiente sobrio e curato nei dettagli, con piatti raffinati, equilibrati, affatto soliti, a base di pesce, nonostante ci si trovi nel parco nazionale del Pollino, non c'è verso: bisogna raggiungere l' Antico Borgo! Un inno al gusto e alla bellezza! Delizia ed estetica dall' entrée al dolce. Isabella in sala, Pierluigi in cucina e la loro accortezza: tutto perfetto!
