We have been to this family-run restaurant and we were thrilled. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, we sat on the outdoor terrace under an enchanting pergola, with a breathtaking view that alone is worth the visit. We chose the Valtellina menu and were impressed by the quality of the ingredients. Each dish tells a story of tradition and passion: you can clearly perceive the study and love that the chef puts into every detail. An authentic experience that I highly recommend. I will definitely return with pleasure.

Forty-five years ago we went to S Barnaba to have lunch with the trout alla piota from the farm of the father of the current managers of the extraordinary starred restaurant Lanterna Verde. The chef with his team and the sommelier who guides you through hundreds of labels are the prelude to an absolutely exceptional tasting experience that leaves Italian and foreign customers amazed (there are now many guests who come down from Saint Moritz to dine at Villa di Chiavenna). The Tonola family represents a reality of entrepreneurial excellence

31/07/2025: Nice restaurant in the center of Teglio. Everything is good, but a little more attention to customer service would be appreciated.
03/07/2025: Parking nearby, friendly staff, good and plentiful typical menu, quality products, clean toilets, shame about a few flies between the tables. Absolutely reasonable prices. I recommend it.

03/06/2025: My review only concerns the restaurant; we weren't at the hotel. Simply some of the best meat I've ever eaten. The beef tartare is decadent, it's so excellent. The venison carpaccio is to die for, it's so tender and flavorful. The rest of the meal as well. I'm only giving it 4 stars, not 5, because the service, while very professional, competent, and attentive, lacks warmth, and that's something important to us.
03/05/2025: My stay for 2 nights was truly relaxing, abundant breakfast, excellent restaurant, friendly staff, top cleanliness!
