Authentic Sicilian! We had seen the reviews and went there with high expectations. When we entered we saw a menu with panini and hamburgers...We stood for a long time trying to choose when the lady came over and decided for us! She explained educationally in Italian for us Swedes who don't know the language. We got vegetarian, pasta al forne and more, and everything was so good! Very satisfied and we highly recommend it to others who want to eat authentic homemade food!

Only saw locals eating here which is always a good sign. They had the panelle and arancina (white or red filling). Definitely get the iris donut (filled with chocolate and ricotta). Like other reviews have said the Nonna is super nice and friendly. We communicated using Google Translate. There are 3 four-top tables but be a Palermitano and sit with a stranger. This restaurant sits at an intersection which Nonna called “casino” (translation hot mess).

Excellent Sicilian home cooking, everything fresh and delicious. Mother and son behind the counter, very friendly and efficient. The clientele appreciates the offerings; doctors, tradesmen, housewives, etc., all are represented.
