I went to Trattoria Il Cantastorie with friends for a quiet dinner, and it was truly a wonderful discovery. The atmosphere is simple but refined, and it feels like home. The owner was immediately welcoming and kind: he talks to you as if he's known you forever, explains the dishes, and makes you feel welcome. We ate really well. The homemade tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and sausage were excellent, perfectly seasoned and flavorful. The main courses didn't disappoint either: generous portions, tender meat, and tasty side dishes. You can tell there's passion behind every dish. And a special mention goes to the beef tartare: amazing! Tender, flavorful, well-seasoned, and served with care. A real surprise that exceeded expectations. The desserts were also delicious, fresh, and homemade: a great way to end the dinner. The prices were fair—more than fair, in fact, for the quality offered. All this was accompanied by attentive but not intrusive service. A place you'll gladly return to, even just to feel at home. Highly recommended for those looking for a genuine trattoria, without frills but with a lot of heart.

I'll start by saying that we ate well but we were very disappointed by the service and the price. The service needs to be improved. If I ask for extra bread you can't tell me that you're heating it up and not bring it to me anymore. The dishes should be served at the same time or almost at the same time. The thing that bothered us the most was the price. We booked through the fork; the expected discount was 50%. When we arrived at the table we found a "dedicated" the fork menu indicating that the prices indicated were already discounted. We were therefore unable to verify the discount applied but if the dishes had actually been discounted by 50% the pasta with tomatoes would have cost 18 euros while all the other first courses would have cost over 20 euros. The icing on the cake, however, was the request to pay in cash and not by card, which we naively did. N.B. we reported the incident to the fork

Tried it for lunch during the week and it seemed like an excellent solution for work lunch breaks, with a good quality/price ratio.

Home cooking in a welcoming environment that tastefully combines tradition and modernity. Courteous staff and a relaxed atmosphere make the experience even more pleasant. Good quality dishes and balanced portions complete an undoubtedly positive experience. Worth a try.

Dinner with old friends with great food and reasonable prices

A pleasant discovery. We went on Sunday for lunch with a 20 euro menu (drinks and desserts excluded) consisting of a first course of your choice, a second course of your choice and a side dish. We immediately felt at ease, the staff and owner were very courteous and helpful. Highly recommended. If among the first courses there is not what you like, if it works, it finds the solution and comes to your aid.
