We visited this mountain restaurant in Carsoli (Abruzzo) on May 22, 2025, near the highway exit. The atmosphere is charming and refined, with an open fireplace. Some dishes, such as meat and mushrooms, are grilled over the grill. The dishes are carefully prepared and of high quality, and the wine cellar is noteworthy. It's a shame that the prices, even considering what we ordered and the quantities served, were quite high, as per the receipt.

Excellent cuisine and quality ingredients
The slightly high price is justifiable if accompanied by impeccable service... which you only find on weekdays... Perhaps one or two more waiters on the weekend would help give that extra something and avoid turning people's noses up... We waited 15 minutes for water and 25 for our order... Otherwise, everything was fine 👍

On our way back from Fiumicino Airport, we stopped for lunch. It was already 3:00 PM, but even though the kitchen was about to close, they welcomed us and served their menu without skimping on anything. The courtesy and professionalism were exceptional, and not to be taken for granted, both in the service and the welcome. And the quality of the food, I dare say, was ecstatic. Thank you to this wonderful restaurant.

A temple of Abruzzo gastronomy. The finest of Apennine pastoral tradition, selected and prepared by the histrionic Lanfranco, a true culinary priest. Truffles, porcini mushrooms, orapi, mountain cured meats, lamb, guanciale, homemade pasta and bread. And a cellar that ensures each bottle of the extraordinary house selection improves over time.

Everything was top-notch: the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the friendly and approachable service, the undeniable quality of the products served, and the experience and skill of the staff who cook them with great care. An honorable mention goes to the grilled porcini mushrooms: the best I've ever had, absolutely worth the price! The homemade bread of various types and the dry pastries served with coffee are also delicious. I hope to return soon to try other dishes!
