L'Angoeto de Barby In Mirano

A small restaurant with a top-notch food selection and wine list. The menu is constantly changing. Worth a visit.

I had dinner with my boyfriend at L’Angoetto de Barby and it was truly a wonderful discovery. The restaurant is small but very well-kept, with an intimate and pleasant atmosphere. It's run by a very kind, friendly, and helpful young man and woman who make you feel at ease right away. Due to its small size, I highly recommend booking in advance. We started with a mixed raw fish appetizer of the day (belly, sea bass, and swordfish), very fresh and of excellent quality. For main courses, we chose a slice of tuna belly (not on the menu) and amberjack with escarole. To accompany the belly, we also ordered sweet potato with yogurt sauce, a perfect and very balanced side dish. For wine, we relied on the owner's recommendation: a very interesting list, with many organic and unique wines. A good choice, much appreciated by both. Total cost €140 including wine, absolutely in line with the quality offered. Service, food, and bill were top notch. We'll definitely be back. 🍷🐟

Excellent cuisine... refined dishes... peaceful atmosphere

The atmosphere is informal, but you can sense the sophistication and attention to detail in the seemingly random arrangements. The food is excellent, always refined, with fish and vegetables enhanced by even unusual ingredients. The Chef's constant research and study are evident. The wines are excellent, expertly recommended and presented. I also appreciated the welcome and presence during dinner, kind but never intrusive. We'll be back...☺️
