L'Anciova In Palermo

A lovely dinner at L’Anciova, a small, charming neighborhood restaurant right near Porto Carini, the entrance to the Capo Market. We started with caponata and sardine meatballs, followed swordfish along with a crisp catarratto. Our food was very good but the pizzas being served all around us looked outstanding!

We went this week as a group of five for dinner and loved it. The service was very friendly, and all the dishes we ordered, all different, were delicious. The day I return to Palermo, I'll definitely go back! I recommend it!

Antonio and staff were just wonderful! We were so grateful to be there right at 7pm, cause we got a good seat. We will always come back. Next time we'll get Pizza too!! Great vino! Great service! Wonderful food!

A gem among Palermo's pizzerias – hospitality, quality, and passion! We discovered this pizzeria almost by accident and fell in love! The pizza is simply delicious: light, flavorful, with quality ingredients and an attention to detail that comes through in every bite. The atmosphere is refined and intimate, with limited seating—an aspect we greatly appreciated because it makes for a more intimate experience, with fast service and a relaxed atmosphere, far removed from the large pizzerias where you often feel like a "number." Another plus? The homemade desserts, each one better than the last, are evident (and tasted!) and prepared with passion. But the real added value was the welcome: at the end of the service, the owners and the pizza chef stopped to chat with us. A simple but authentic chat that truly made us feel at home. You can sense the love they put into their work, and that makes all the difference. We're sure we would have eaten a good pizza... but it was this human exchange that left us with such wonderful memories of Palermo. Highly recommended—a place to return to, and to share! An atmospheric restaurant in the heart of beautiful Palermo. Delicious food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. Very friendly and attentive service, and a wide selection of homemade desserts. This place is definitely worth visiting again and again.

A pleasant place with very friendly staff. The pizzas are reasonably priced and delicious. A good local atmosphere and close to the historic center. Reservations are recommended because the place is small, but we went without a reservation and they made room for us (two people).

Restaurant familial à 2 min à pied de la place du Teatro Massimo, nous avons mangés deux plats de pâtes et un tiramisu excellent. Super rapport qualité quantité prix. Ambiance comme à la maison, nous nous sommes régalés nous reviendrons sans hésiter !! Parmi les meilleures pâtes que nous ayons mangé en Italie !
