L'Anciova In Palermo

What can I say, arriving in Palermo for a course...three evenings that we were unable to change the location for our dinner. Exceptional hospitality, impeccable availability and divinely good food. Congratulations, Antonella and Marianna from Puglia

I wanted to get slightly off the main strip and stumbled into this lovely place. The staff were very sweet and attentive and we got a couple of really good pizzas and a couple of glasses of wine. We didn't get anything off of their non pizza menu but looking around I think we wish we had! Portions were very good and the value was great. Would come back.

I have dinner at this restaurant every time I return to Palermo. The raw materials are always very fresh, the dishes are generous and generous, the cellar is stocked with excellent labels. The service is taken care of, with attention to customers. At L'anciova my daughter and I feel pampered as if we were the only customers in the room. Dogs are allowed and the owners are welcoming and understanding. It's our favorite restaurant!

Excellent restaurant with few seats, (reservation recommended) hospitable and helpful staff. Family atmosphere, good quality Sicilian cuisine, real flavours, generous portions. Prices more than honest. Overall rating 5 Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hospitality: 0 because what seemed to us to be the owner was with a lit cigarette inside the room Environment: 3 with great attention to detail and well furnished. Tables too close together and very narrow space. It was pouring but there was no umbrella stand and so in front of the door there was water dripping from the umbrellas placed on the ground. Service: 3 The girl who served us was very kind, polite and attentive. She deserves 5 stars. The cigarette and the smell of smoke causes the service score to drop. Food: freshly cooked, tasty and cooked to perfection. I dare say very good. My friend and I ate breaded sardines, Busiata alla Norma and fried cod with potatoes and courgettes. I wouldn't go back due to my intolerance to smoking but the food is delicious. The choice is yours!

Historic restaurant 3 minutes walk from the Massimo theater with Sicilian/Palermitan dishes specialities. The pizza is also very good.

Locale informale, molto pulito , si capisce che c'e amore e professionalita' . Abbiamo mangiato ottime polpette di sarde , orata , pesce spada gratinato al forno tutto molto buono con la compagnia e le spiegazioni del padrone di casa . Prezzo buono

Ottima cucina prodotti di qualità piatti equilibrati buon servizio e anche dei buoni vini consigliati dallo staff e per finire ottimo anche il prezzo
