Very friendly atmosphere where the owner offered a small glass of prosecco at the start and a warm dessert at the end. The seafood pasta we ordered was tasty and having it in Sicilian style was a welcomed change. Would return again when in Milan.

Amùri has been in the area for years, and I finally get to try it with a group of friends. To be on the safe side, we bring along the perfect "critic": one of the diners is Sicilian... who better than him?
We arrive among the first, in a well-decorated restaurant with comfortable seating and a warm welcome from the moment we arrive. The owner's presence is palpable in the dining room; the kitchen can be glimpsed through a window, neither large nor small, with a calm and attentive staff. On the counters, ingredients are already awaiting orders: a good feeling right away.
The menu is "post-Covid" style: QR code and smartphone. I question it a bit, and in fact, if needed, there's also a paper version (a choice a nearly ninety-year-old father would appreciate). The online menu is translated into many languages: Sicilian isn't available, true, but that matters when guests come from all over the world. The menu is extensive, perhaps even excessive: but the Sicily I know is all there, and choosing becomes the biggest problem.
There's the catch of the day (and a reference to variable raw materials, purchased that morning), while the "dish of the day" in the traditional sense is missing—and, paradoxically, it's better this way: it avoids shortcuts. The four of us focus on fish, while the "German" at the table opts for meat.
Flavours and aromas abound: the recommended niche wine is more than adequate, the bread isn't industrial, the water is at just the right temperature, and the service is prompt even when the place gets crowded. There are also small complimentary touches from the kitchen, pleasant and well thought out: finding major flaws becomes difficult.
If I really have to be picky, I would have liked a touch more heat on the grilled tuna (it wasn't cold, but I wanted it more "alive"). The portions are adequate, in line with the modern appetite: the era of appetizer + first course + second course + dessert for everyone is over.
A memorable finale: a coffee granita that takes you back in time, with real cream, not "from a can." Whoever makes these desserts knows exactly what they're doing.
On the downside: parking is really complicated. I drove around too much and didn't see any parking garages in the area. Otherwise, the bill is surprising: the price/quality/quantity ratio definitely favors the customers. I'll be back: next time with my wife, so I can try even more.

A wonderful discovery: L’Amùri Sicilian Restaurant, a corner of Sicily in the heart of Milan, where you immediately sense a warm welcome and attention to detail.
I tried several dishes, but the ones that truly won me over were the Sicilian-style busiate and the pistachio espresso tiramisu.
The busiate, a typical Trapani pasta with sardines, wild fennel, raisins, pine nuts, and toasted breadcrumbs, amazed me with the perfect balance between sweet and savory, between the texture of the pasta and the crunchiness of the crumbs. An authentic dish full of character that elegantly expresses tradition.
The tiramisu was the real surprise. The pistachio mascarpone cream is irresistible, soft and enveloping, with an intense but never cloying flavor. The ideal dessert to end dinner with a smile.
I also tried the twice-cooked octopus with potatoes, turmeric, and confit cherry tomatoes. It was delicious and carefully presented, but in my opinion, a little less surprising than the other dishes.
Overall, a very positive experience: a pleasant atmosphere, carefully prepared dishes, and flavors that evoke the warmth of Sicily. I'll gladly return to try other specialties on the menu and indulge in that pistachio tiramisu again.

I'm writing this review while I'm still inside the restaurant, because I just can't wait.
I've been away from Sicily for too long, and from the first bite I was transported to that place that tastes of land, sea, warmth, and fantastic, welcoming people, who lovingly make you feel at home, never a guest. The owners are fantastic and knowledgeable, and the chef is skilled at presenting Sicilian tradition with passion and care.
An experience worth repeating many times, we'll be back!
