Fish cooked by a chef who knows his job

L'Allegro restaurant offers top-quality ingredients, showcased in both raw and hot dishes. The service is impeccable, and the wine list is distinguished by its breadth and quality.

The food is delicious and I feel right at home. They always add something new to the menu, and it's always a hit with me. I love going there even alone. What's better than a glass of good wine and a carpaccio or tartare, and people who pamper you?

Excellent restaurant, the dishes are very good and the products used are clearly top-quality. Perhaps a tad too expensive...

Even though I've been walking past it for over 30 years, I'd never tried this restaurant... and I was wrong. The decor was meticulously maintained, the dishes spotlessly clean (a rare thing these days), and the wait staff was courteous and attentive; I didn't even have to ask for more when I finished the bottle of water on the table. We ate an excellent octopus salad with potatoes and Taggiasca olives. The pasta with clams was expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and the portions were just right. The scialatielli with mussels, pecorino cheese, and yellow cherry tomatoes were simply perfect; the quality of the ingredients and preparation was evident on the palate. For our second course, we shared a perfectly fried calamari and shrimp dish, with a light, flaky batter that was perfectly dry because there was virtually no oil on the paper or on the dish. To finish, we had two artisanal Pizzo Calabro truffles with cream, which were truly delicious. They've been at this location since 1969, there must be a reason...or not?! Congratulations to the owners and staff.

We went to celebrate my brother and my birthday, and we adored it. Great food and wine, beautiful location, great service. We will be back.

This evening I ate "a plate of pasta with clams that made me feel like I was at the seaside." Excellent seafood restaurant with generous, high-quality dishes, special mention for the aforementioned spaghetti and fregola, which were fabulous. We'll be back.
