Baia Chia In Roma

My family and I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and the owner set up a long table for 13. I'll start with the positives: excellent food, attentive owner, and lower-than-average prices and decidedly good quality. At first, we noticed a bit of tension or a lack of humor, and this was very noticeable, but after a few moments, the atmosphere changed a bit. As an Italian, I noticed again that the waiters (with little experience, or at least apprentices) were often called out or treated with disrespect in front of the audience, and this is unfortunately truly sad to see, because the customers can sense it. It would be nicer to address them in a more polite and respectful manner. Otherwise, I recommend it; it's a good place to eat, with the option of sitting outside on nice days, and it's very close to the center and the Colosseum. ❤️

It was a good experience. We went for lunch on Sunday and had fregola with mussels and clams and grilled fish. The fregola reminded us of Sardinia—excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Food 5 stars!! During our stay we went for lunch twice and always wanted to go back ☺

Arrived by chance.... Very nice owners in everything.. We ate very well 😋 Antipasto and Pasta are divine, with all the lively flavors... I recommend everyone to visit this 10 and praise osteria... We will come back to visit you ❤️ Good work👏

Lulu's review: We ordered the menu with scampi cream risotto: 40 euros, truly delicious and very affordable. The staff was very friendly, and they even served thin Sardinian pastries, authentic Sardinian cuisine.

I went there the day after Michele, our guide, recommended it. We ordered two seafood courses. I was really surprised by the enormous portions! The taste was just right, and it was a great value! I didn't eat the sardines well, so I left some, but I ate almost everything else! And I was blown away by the portions... haha. I felt like I was full!

I had the seafood course, pork course, and 3 squid courses! The portions were really big and the staff was friendly and nice!!

The bonus from a website (you can see it in the photo) went to good use — I treated myself to a nice dinner. The fish was beyond expectations — juicy and tender. It’s great when even a random bonus makes the evening special.
