L'Alighieri Caffè e Cucina In Ravenna

it looks like a bar but it's a fish restaurant, it's the best in Ravenna, also taking into account tradition!

The menu was interesting with non-trivial dishes, the weak point was the service, which was confusing and distracted. Since it may have been a special day I will return to try other dishes.

Chic eatery with delicious food, but a bit noisy inside!

During a weekend in Ravenna we discovered this place by chance: a real stroke of luck! I was first attracted by the sign in the window which read: Alighieri café and cuisine, then on the blackboard near the entrance was a list of foods which immediately set my taste buds in motion. The restaurant has an outdoor area under the porticoes in front of the Dante Alighieri theatre, inside there are around ten tables and a nice bar counter. There were 4 of us and we had two courses each (my youngest daughter had an encore of cappelletti on parmesan fondue) all excellent and well cooked. The choice of wines is also excellent: I was recommended an excellent Orange wine (a Sardinian wine made from white grapes (Vermentino) but vinified like a red wine, i.e. with the maceration of the must in contact with the skins and yeasts. The offer is also very good. of the dessert menu. Kind and courteous service, the girls welcomed us and accompanied us throughout the lunch with a smile and the chef (I believe also the owner) introduced us to an excellent wine, explaining to me the origin and type of winemaking. I promised myself I would return.

Durante un weekend a Ravenna abbiamo scoperto per caso questo locale : un vero colpo di fortuna! Mi ha attirato per prima cosa l'insegna in vetrina che recitava : l'Alighieri caffè e cucina, poi sulla lavagna vicino all'entrata un elenco di vivande che hanno da subito messo in moto le mie papille gustative. Il locale ha un dehor sotto i portici di fronte al teatro Dante Alighieri, all'interno trovano posto una decina di tavoli e un bel bancone da bar. Eravamo in 4 e abbiamo preso due portate a testa (mia figlia più piccola ha fatto il bis di cappelletti su fonduta di parmigiano) tutte ottime e ben cucinate. Ottima anche la scelta dei vini: mi è stato consigliato un ottimo Orange wine ( un vino sardo di uva bianca (vermentino) ma vinificato come un vino rosso, cioè con la macerazione del mosto a contatto con le bucce e i lieviti. Buonissima anche la proposta della carta dei dolci. Mi sono ripromesso di tornarci.

Intimate (even outdoors!) and cute place in the center of Ravenna. Friendly and skilled staff. An extraordinary mix between tradition and innovation. Among all, the gross dish with prawn tartare (very good). The possibility of a half portion (little snack) is also functional but next time I will take the whole portion! See you soon!

In addition to being pleasantly modern in decor, with tables both inside and outside, the staff is very kind and important! They served a delicious slice of CELIA-friendly cake, a food that is not easy to find in the centre. Thank you for this attention.

Oltre ad essere, piacevolmente moderno nell'arredamento, con tavoli sia all'interno che all'esterno, il personale e molto gentile e Importante ! Hanno servito una deliziosa fetta di torta tenerina per CELIACI alimento non facile da trovare nei locali del centro. Grazie per questa attenzione.

We eat not well, very well and more! Congratulations to Chef Mirko and all the staff... very fast in everything. I really recommend it! Fantastic courgette omelette and delicate cacio e pepe risotto! Wow!
