It's my first time ordering here, and I'm being generous in giving it 3 stars, just for the food, whose reviews don't lie. Otherwise, the service was poor, specifically zero. I scheduled an order with Glovo at 9:00 AM with an expected arrival time of 10:00 AM or 10:30 AM (the restaurant opens at 10:00 AM, as indicated on the website; this information will be useful later). The order arrived "only" at 11:20 AM. In the meantime, I could have done some shopping, gone to Taormina, and come back. The reason? Words quoted verbatim by the Glovo delivery driver, complete with "evidence" shown on my phone (call log): Apparently, a woman opened the restaurant at 11:00 AM (remember the information from before? Opening hours at 10:00 AM), trying to pretend nothing happened. Too bad for the lady, the courier had been waiting there since 10:00 AM and called a total of 7 or 8 times between 10 and 11:00 AM before she remembered that the place wasn't opening automatically. In the meantime, the courier stopped by to give her a haircut, and after the courier's constant reminders, once he arrived at the place, the lady remembered that I had placed an order scheduled for an hour earlier. The lady, rightly, couldn't have noticed the order since the machine was off (maybe she discovered the hot water, who knows? Maybe since the place opened at 10:00 AM, she would have seen the order, which had already been placed at 9:00 AM, waiting for confirmation). I think the lady will need more sleep next time. That said, as I already wrote under another restaurant in Genoa, for me, you can have 5-Michelin-star food and get positive reviews from billionaires, but if the service is poor, the restaurant is worthless. If I pay for an order to arrive at 10:00, 10:30 at the latest, I certainly don't expect it to arrive an hour later. If it weren't for the courier's insistence, the lady would definitely have opened after lunch today, or maybe she would have thought she didn't feel like working today. First time I've ordered here, as I said, and first time I've waited more than an hour for an order on Glovo. Ridiculous. But now, what happened has happened. It was... And it will never be again. I hope someone here understands that eating here costs money and a lot of time, so if you literally have "all day," then this place is perfect. You can order and spend 6 hours later and your order certainly isn't even being prepared. Shame. This is literally incompetence squared. I'm being too generous, though, and I've decided to give it 3 stars ONLY for the food. You deserve it for that alone. But you won't be able to survive for long on the food alone, trust me. People find other places with crappier food but 10 times better service. Even waiting for an order from Mars (yes, the planet) would have better service than yours. As you can see, the first time is always the first time. Congratulations on the great impression you made. My compliments, truly.
