I had lunch last Sunday at La Volpe restaurant-pizzeria. The appetizer was spectacular, and in itself was a complete meal. High-quality ingredients. The first courses were meticulously prepared. The second courses were also truly tasty. I've known the owners for 40 years, and they've always been excellent chefs. Their daughters, now grown up, have studied food science and hold numerous specialized qualifications. They are truly excellent cooks. The atmosphere is impeccably maintained. The staff is so kind and courteous. You feel right at home. I knew the legendary founder, Cenzella, who cooked me traditional dishes using local ingredients. She has passed those recipes down to today's chefs. Congratulations. Recommended. A perfect score.

Excellent food, including the ravioli with mushrooms, shepherd's ravioli, and ravioli with Bolognese sauce. Very friendly staff, and the atmosphere is cool despite the hot day. Street parking is available, and there's a public play area in front of the restaurant.

Three things make me laugh about reviewers. 1) Those who write that the pizza they served was inedible—in my entire life, I've NEVER found a pizzeria that served me inedible pizza (sometimes I like it better, sometimes less). 2) The service staff is slow and unsmiling, and I shouldn't eat the waiter's smile. 3) When they argue that the manager doesn't allow pets, given that I also own pets (two dogs and four cats), I leave them at home like everyone else out of respect for other patrons and the owner. However, I want to remind the lady who wrote the review that fortunately, there is still NO law in Italy requiring managers to allow pets. Italian law, specifically EC Regulation No. 852/2004 on food hygiene, establishes that animals can ONLY access public areas of the premises IF THE MANAGER PERMITS IT, provided that they are kept on a leash and muzzled, regardless of size, and that they do not disturb or obstruct the performance of work, therefore the manager of the premises has the UNQUESTIONABLE RIGHT to decide whether or not to accept animals because it is still private property.

The restaurant is excellent, as are the owners themselves, who run the place excellently. Both the dishes and the pizzas are carefully prepared and of high quality. The quality/price ratio is also excellent, with the latter being lower than similar establishments. Overall, I found no flaws, despite the staff shortage, as is often the case in small towns.
