Super good food in a very nice place

Sono stato poco fa a cena in questo ristorante sul lungomare di Gallipoli su consiglio di un mio amico del posto che me lo aveva caldamente raccomandato. Ho trovato il ristorante di buon livello, con un servizio celere e attento. Discreti i totani fritti su un letto di cipolla caramellata e anche i pàccheri con il sugo di triglie e pomodorini. Meno buono il dessert, un gelato alla mandorla ripieno di marmellata di fichi. Il conto è nella media dei ristoranti del Salento di pari livello.

We went here for an antipasto and a primo for lunch. Everything good, plentiful, tasty. Plus a bottle of rosé at a fair price. We can only recommend the restaurant!

On the recommendation of the receptionist at the Biancadonda hotel we booked into this excellent fish restaurant. The staff is attentive. despite our late arrival our table was still reserved

Given that I hadn't eaten in this restaurant in years since my husband and I like to visit all the ones in the area, I expected to eat a little better. The food is good but I expected to eat very well, perhaps due to the seafood which, although cooked, must have had some that I didn't like the smell of. The beauty of the view from the terrace made me overlook what happened. I would go back and I'll be back for the Catalan lobster which I couldn't eat this time but which I have superlative memories of.

Make a reservation via WhatsApp to be sure to get a table, because this is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The restaurant focuses on fresh seafood catches of the day, though there are a few limited vegetarian dishes. Ask the staff for recommendations for daily fresh fish, because the menu changes accordingly. The standard menu items are ok too, fresh pastas etc. I got the red tuna carpaccio in olive oil and lemon, swordfish gratin, and mixed seafood orecchiete pasta with tomatoes. All were excellent but I wish I had gone all out for the whole fish of the day (secondi) and skipped over the pasta (primi). Anyways, the service was kind and helpful, never intrusive, and the dining room is lovely and spacious with a vaulted ceiling and windows overlooking the harbour. In the summer and daytimes of the off-season there is limited outdoor seating. If you're driving allow time to find parking on the mainland and about 15-20minutes walking over the bridge to Gallipoli Vecchio since there is very limited parking on the island.

Bella location in pieno centro storico a Gallipoli. Ambiente elegante e semplice, Personale gentile e servizio abbastanza celere. Buona la qualità dei piatti proposti con vasta scelta dal menù. Bellissima la terrazza con vista sul golfo, ma si deve prenotare con molto anticipo. Siamo stati a cena ed essendo in tre abbiamo ordinato due antipasti, una patatina fritta, un primo, un secondo, tre acque, una coca, un sorbetto e un caffè, il tutto per € 89,00. Prezzi onesti e comunque nella media del Salento. Consigliatissimo. Complimenti a tutto lo staff.

Nice stylish restaurant. Tuna carpaccio excellent, polpo with pepper sauce very good, homemade gnocci delicious. Unfortunately the fish fillet was fried for too long and was dry. Staff friendly great atmosphere.

A beautiful experience, it is a top-notch restaurant with great quality and very tasty food, the fish is fresh and is in a display case visible at the entrance of the restaurant, great service, friendliness and great availability, price perfectly in line with the general quality of the restaurant , I will return and recommend it to anyone who likes quality.
