I'd spotted it on the way there... on the way back it was lunchtime and I had to stop.

The atmosphere is in keeping with the name.
The staff are very welcoming, the prices are absolutely in line with the quality of the dishes, the food is excellent, and the menu is varied but not overly so, to offer the best possible quality.
The skewers were excellent, and an appetizer that surprised us with mini stuffed peppers, cooked just like my grandfather used to make, was truly moving.
Congratulations, we'll be back!

A fairly basic place; back in Abruzzo, what's a must? The arrosticini, of course!
We ordered a chitarra al ragu (8), a scamorza cheese on the spit (6), 15 arrosticini (20), water, half a liter of house red (3), and two desserts (5 for 2): total 52.50 discounted to 50.
Good price, satisfying dinner.

Typical Abruzzo cuisine with simple yet flavorful and authentic dishes. The staff is extremely friendly and always available, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The quality/price ratio is more than excellent.

A quaint, beautiful place with excellent food.
The service was quick, but the portions were perhaps a little small, and the appetizer was lacking something. But we'll definitely return.

We ate so well that we returned two days in a row. If you find yourself on the Cinquemiglia plateau, you can't miss La Vecchia Pesa, the perfect place to enjoy Abruzzo dishes.
Original flavors, everything excellent, from the homemade pasta to the special arrosticini and, finally, the delicious desserts. We'll definitely be back.
