I'd spotted it on the way there... on the way back it was lunchtime and I had to stop. I ate very well, quickly, and at very fair prices. We'll see each other again!

The atmosphere is in keeping with the name. The staff are very welcoming, the prices are absolutely in line with the quality of the dishes, the food is excellent, and the menu is varied but not overly so, to offer the best possible quality. The skewers were excellent, and an appetizer that surprised us with mini stuffed peppers, cooked just like my grandfather used to make, was truly moving. Congratulations, we'll be back!

(Friday 1 dinner) La Vecchia Pesa (Rivisondoli) A fairly basic place; back in Abruzzo, what's a must? The arrosticini, of course! We ordered a chitarra al ragu (8), a scamorza cheese on the spit (6), 15 arrosticini (20), water, half a liter of house red (3), and two desserts (5 for 2): total 52.50 discounted to 50. Good price, satisfying dinner. Bill 50 (25 each), rating 4.25/5

Typical Abruzzo cuisine with simple yet flavorful and authentic dishes. The staff is extremely friendly and always available, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The quality/price ratio is more than excellent.

We ate so well that we returned two days in a row. If you find yourself on the Cinquemiglia plateau, you can't miss La Vecchia Pesa, the perfect place to enjoy Abruzzo dishes. Original flavors, everything excellent, from the homemade pasta to the special arrosticini and, finally, the delicious desserts. We'll definitely be back.

Well-crafted cocktails are paired with sophisticated, well-prepared dishes. The background music is captivating, often soul jazz, and summer karaoke for those who love that genre. Reservations are recommended to avoid long lines.
01/09/2025: Guido and Roberta run this place with a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. They always have a smile on their face and know how to make their guests feel at ease. Guido recommended the Spritz Aspide to me, which was excellent and I've never changed. The selection of wines and express cocktails and chips of all kinds is good. The dinner menu is excellent. The downstairs space is stunning, with a panoramic view from the upper floor and a lovely atmosphere. I hope to return soon 🍸 Lory

Osteria Braceria Pizzeria Mangiafuoco

21/09/2025: Excellent food and wine. We sat out in the square of an evening. Must try the lamb skewers.
20/08/2025: Restaurant and pizzeria located in the beautiful Piazza Garibaldi in Sulmona, adjacent to the Church of San Filippo, from which it takes its name. A very charming and characteristic place, the pizza is very good, even though it's not cooked in a wood-fired oven; the red ones are better than the white ones. I'll definitely be back to try it as a restaurant and not as a pizzeria. Prices are average, and the service is very fast. Highly recommended.
