Stumbled upon this place by chance whilst walking to another shop and was drawn in by how busy it was outside and filled with locals. The shop area downstairs is filled with goods that you can buy to take home. Upstairs is a very homely feel trattoria and the menu is small but full of the classics. The burrata was huge but really creamy, however for a burrata that big, you need more than two slices of tomato. The pasta was a creamy truffle sauce and you good smell the truffle as the plate was being bought over. The cheesecake was a good dessert and a little unexpected as I didn't see it available anywhere else in Bologna but it was topped with a berry compote and wasn't too sweet.

Mortadello and prosciutto must be tried. The plate in the photo is small. Single.

Characteristic structure with every good thing on display (San Daniele hams, tortellini, half wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano, etc.). It is a well-stocked typical gastronomy, which has wisely wanted to combine local consumption of the typical products sold. There are tables outside, on the passage of the narrow street and inside two rooms on the upper floor. You cannot book, but only go to the entrance and announce yourself to the waiters, hoping that they will remember to call with the order of arrival, which was not respected in my case. Limited menu (rightly so), but for the portions served, extremely expensive (€17 for a super small platter)

I went to the Vecchia Malga for lunch, beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff, I had the good Tuscan platter and a tiramisu (very good),

Cozy place with welcoming and friendly staff. Ordered two cutting boards (Italic & Emilian) which can easily replace a lunch. Variety of cured meats and cheeses typical of the area served with tigelle, flavored lard, spreadable squaccherone and grated cheese. All accompanied with four glasses of Sangiovese. So far everything perfect. As a first course, we ordered tagliatelle with ragù, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and tortellini with black king. Unfortunately both tagliatelle had very little ingredients inside and were all broken, the tortellini were good but the black parmesan cream makes it very heavy to digest I would opt for the tortellini broth next time. The tiramisu was too crowded and the panna cotta dipped in berry syrup didn't allow you to feel the taste. In general it is a great place to drink and eat typical cured meats and cheeses. The environment is welcoming, clean and with a great variety of products to purchase as gifts or for yourself.

The food here is unbelievable! I want to return again just for the food and this place would be top of list!

Bella bottega, con tavoli. Posto evidentemente pensato molto a misura di turisti e di passanti, in grado di gestire grandi numeri, però le materie prime sono comunque buone e la cucina è all’altezza della tradizione. Si mangia bene,il servizio è cortese e simpatico. Dettaglio non indifferente per locali come questo: non ti fanno fretta e hai tutto il tempo che ti serve per una chiacchiera con i commensali o per gustarti i tortellini.
