La Vecchia Bottega In Bologna

Really nice restaurant, got a table thanks to being there early, otherwise a reservation might be needed. The antipasti was amazing with high quality ham, salami, sun-dried tomatoes and cheese. I also tried the lasagna which was amazing. Can only recommend!

Found by chance near the station, a very welcoming and rustic place, the owner is very very friendly, kind and helpful, the pasta is delicious, even the Bolognese cutlet, but I didn't manage to take a photo because I devoured it, it is also wheelchair accessible for those who want to taste the flavors of Bologna.

Just went there 6pm. All closed up. No sign of life. All dark. UPDATED: they were opened by 7:15 (yes we gave it another go). People were delightful. Food was good to great depending on the dish. Tortellini with butter and sage was the standout.

We were looking for a casual, private pasta restaurant near our apartment, since we had spent all day in the town center and didn't want to go back there to eat. I asked an AI for a recommendation, and it did not disappoint! We found a place that was run by a lovely young team. The gentleman's father used to own the premises and sold fruit, but after his education, he decided to open a retail shop selling cheese and meats, and also opened a small restaurant with about 14-16 seats. The food was excellent—very home-cooked and cozy. The service was just as good; it felt like we were having dinner at their home. The wine selection was also fantastic. We loved everything about it, and it was so quaint. Definitely a must-visit if you're ever in Bologna!

Fantastic wee spot serving fresh, homemade food in a cosy and intimate atmosphere. The pasta was exceptional. Extremely friendly hosts, who went out their way to accommodate everyone.

Stumbled across this place early evening. Thought give it a go due to reviews. Absolutely did not disappoint. Lasagna is top notch and portions big enough to try a few things on the menu - which is definitely worth doing. Service super friendly without being over bearing. If you fancy a traditional little trattoria, with good food and relaxing atmosphere - definitely swing by here.
