La Transumanza In Vasto

Ate here twice during our stay in the town. It's a great family run business with friendly staff and tasty food. Definitely recommended.

During a trip to Vasto, we chose to have lunch here, where we ate very well and felt at ease. We asked for advice on the courses, and everything was delicious, from the bruschetta as an appetizer to the first courses (both fish and meat), the second courses, and finally the desserts... Everything was very good.

We had some meat-based appetizers that were nothing short of phenomenal. The pizza of the day with turnip greens was sublime, and then they treated us to a sweet Abruzzese pizza. Everything was fantastic.

It is a historic restaurant in Vasto, the atmosphere is very comfortable, the staff is qualified and the food is of quality.

Very fast and attentive service. Delicious food. We had the traditional Cozze Ripiene as a starter and pasta as a primo piatto. We were already quite full. We only had enough left for dessert, which was also very tasty (fresh tiramisu, fresh cheesecake with mixed berries). Good portion sizes. Fair prices considering the high quality of the food.

I decided to come here for dinner after reading the various reviews. Even though I'm staying 40 minutes away (in the San Vito Chietino area), I wanted to take an evening stroll around Vasto and eat some good seafood. La Transumanza looks very nice from the moment you enter, with a well-kept and welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the fish menu, even though I was tempted by the meat option. After seeing the appetizer portions, I was worried it would be small and on the small side, but the paccheri promptly proved me wrong with a nice, generous portion. The fried seafood was good and light. Quality seafood, even though I suspect the meat menu beats the fish one, I'll definitely be back to try that too and to experience the kindness and friendliness of the staff, which makes the experience even more enjoyable! Recommended!!!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Typical Abruzzo products are truly delicious. The pizza is also very good and recommended. The prices are truly excellent and reasonable considering the quality.
