An enchanting place in the center of Messina. I spent a wonderful evening in this beautiful and welcoming restaurant, where, in addition to tasting exquisite, delicious, and anything but ordinary dishes, I savored an atmosphere of serenity, peace, and love. Highly recommended for any occasion, especially since the selection of natural wines on the menu is superb.

A lovely, well-maintained, and welcoming place, just like home! Loredana, the hostess, welcomes you and prepares exquisite yet sophisticated dishes! Not to mention the cookies she bakes... In short, it's a special place to be, a place to meet and feel good!

I really enjoy this place, I come back often and I recommend it. The recipes are always interesting and everything is delicious. Excellent desserts, welcoming atmosphere, you feel pampered.

On the occasion of my in-laws' fiftieth wedding anniversary (so as a guest), I had the pleasure of sampling the cuisine at "La Tovaglia Volante." I've made a rule for myself: I only review if I get a great impression. And here I am. However, I can only comment on the cuisine and the service. I was struck by the balance of the dishes, the delicacy, the chiaroscuro: they seemed painted like the relaxing Sicilian landscapes, with a touch of surrealism, that decorate the room. The confit cherry tomato counterbalanced the chicory on a delicate snapper, the clove intrigued a meat-only sauce, the fructose in the apple smoothed out the physiological excesses of the caponata. The wines weren't over the top (as is inevitably the case on these occasions), but expertly paired. The service was friendly, friendly, without heavy-handedness, perfectly normal. I will certainly return on occasions, even if they aren't necessarily celebratory.

The food is excellent value for money, and the quantity is also generous, unlike similar restaurants where they give you a measly sample and call it a plate. Everything was perfect. My parents took me there, and I'll definitely be back.
