I've been frequenting this place on several Sunday afternoons and plan to continue doing so. Despite the small size and high traffic, the friendly owners are surprisingly prompt and thorough. The coffee, served in large cups (a brilliant choice), is excellent. Let's hope they can maintain this consistency; for now, they're really good.

This has been our go-to pastry shop for many years. Their cakes are excellent: the selection is wide, all delicious, and never cloying! You can't celebrate a birthday without one of their cakes!

What can I say about my Modena comfort zone? Ale and Damiano's hospitality is exceptional. Ale turns every cake, croissant, or dessert into pure magic! Damiano's cappuccinos are unbeatable! Keep up the good work!!!

I discovered La Torteria last year by chance and fell in love with it. The place is small, but well-kept and original. The desserts are simple in appearance, yet rich in flavor and have a homemade feel. In short, the perfect place for a snack or breakfast just steps from the Ghirlandina and Piazza Grande! The Sacher Torte, truffles, and meringue cake are definitely worth trying.

I've been to this wonderful place in the center of Modena twice and would go back again. The cakes are out of this world, and the attention, care, and kindness of the staff make you feel pampered. The place is small but very quaint. A little gem for anyone looking to treat themselves to a sweet treat.

I don't eat cake... I ate two pieces. This should be enough of a review, but I'll add a detail: the sweet-toothed members of the group literally licked the plastic plate the cake was on before throwing it away. Yes, it was an epic moment. Perfect doughs, delicious creams, and a care for desserts that you can see and taste. A pastry shop that wins over even those who don't like dessert... let alone the others! Highly recommended. 🍰💛

27/11/2025: I've been a regular customer for years and can only say MORE THAN EXCELLENT! A welcoming, clean, and tidy place with convenient outdoor parking. The staff is friendly, kind, and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The pizza is delicious, always generously topped with top-quality ingredients and the dough is incredibly easy to digest. And if you want a truly unique dessert, come and try the SALTED CARAMEL ENCHANTING!!! Irresistible!!! Compliments in every way, including the home delivery. They always arrive on time or early, but never late!! Debby and Maria are a guarantee!!! I highly recommend everyone to stop by and enjoy a wonderful evening with friends and an excellent pizza!! Top top top!!
23/11/2025: I came for dinner with friends a while ago: delicious pizza, quality ingredients, and so many options: you can really taste the care and passion behind it! As for the staff, I can only say that we were made to feel incredibly welcome and that they were incredibly kind, smiling, and so helpful!! In short, it's one of those places you'll want to return to not only for the good food, but also for the atmosphere. Plus, they organize tons of wonderful events, like themed dinners/special menus to discover new flavors and ways of understanding cuisine (including more sustainable ones), which are lacking in the area. Places like this are truly worthy of praise, especially for the love they put into what they do. Highly recommended, no questions asked! :)

Trattoria La Ciusera

10/11/2025: The quality of both food and wine was truly excellent. We enjoyed every course, from the appetizers to the first courses, to the meat, which was clearly their specialty, cooked to perfection. A restaurant I highly recommend to anyone who wants to eat well.
09/11/2025: Excellent traditional cuisine. The staff and owner were extremely friendly. The tortelloni stuffed with ricotta and salami in a Taleggio cream sauce are highly recommended, as is the pappardelle with venison. We finished with cantucci biscuits and a round of meloncello and nocillo biscuits on the house. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner's father, a very kind and friendly man who told us the origin of the name "Ciusera."
