La Torretta In Peschici

17 September 2024. Peschici in the pouring rain has its charm but with a 2 year old child and a stroller between stairs and umbrellas the only ray of sunshine was the La Torretta restaurant which welcomed us at 11.45am (opening on purpose for us) to give us shelter. The owner could have been that aunt or grandmother who, happy to see you, begins to offer you every whim from her pantry. Obviously after such a kind welcome we willingly stopped for lunch. The menu, seasonal and based only on fresh products, was affected by the low season and the very few tourists (we were the only ones in the restaurant) but the cod and homemade macaroni served with the fish were a pleasant surprise. The place is a little dated, but nevertheless characteristic as a whole. Sea view and super welcoming service. Recommended for a pleasant family lunch at a reasonable price. Ps: the owner's mandarinetto (offered) is a delight!

Very good food, delicious dishes, excellent dessert and freshly made pasta. The best troccoli with clams I've ever eaten. Mrs. Rita is extremely kind, as is the staff. The only sore point is that, stopping to pamper each customer in part, the service is rather slow and sometimes you have to repeat part of the order several times. But when you are in excellent company, this takes second place and you can enjoy yourself more with pleasant chats while admiring the stupendous panorama from the terrace.

Very expensive restaurant for the type of place, average food, lunch is eaten under the sun

Sublime dinner, traditional dishes as excellent as the raw materials are excellent! Finally a restaurant that cooks peppered mussels with garlic! Spectacular view, kindness and helpfulness of the owner. Absolutely recommended!

After an afternoon spent visiting Peschici we stopped in this restaurant with a terrace overlooking the sea where we found the courtesy of the owners and good food. I would happily stay here again.

A beautiful restaurant, if you enter on an empty stomach you leave full, spectacular sea view.

Just returned from our trip to the Gargano with the first stop in Peschici. We stayed in the La Torretta pension and the kindness of the owner Rita and her beautiful structure with a unique view of the sea immediately won us over. The pension is located in the historic center of Peschici. It has a terrace restaurant with a unique view of the sea with quality cuisine. But its owner makes the difference and it is not at all obvious... Mrs. Rita who with her kindness and availability gives that something extra that makes you leave our hearts. I can only thank her because people like her are rare to find. If you go to Peschici, entrust yourself to its care and its structure, you will certainly be satisfied. Non mi e' mai capitato di scrivere una recensione ancora seduto al tavolo a fine cena....questa volta l'ho fatto. Accoglienza molto carina e gradevole sin dal nostro arrivo. Cordialità, gentilezza e genuinita' "vera" da parte di tutto il personale. Un plauso al cuoco, che ho saputo essere pugliese, bravo nell' equilibrare gli ingredienti e creare piatti molto interessanti. Dulcis in foundo? Delizia al mosto di fichi....un tripudio di sapori.... Il tutto racchiuso in una cornice marina, a picco sul mare, unica nel suo genere.....lo consiglio vivamente....la cena col tramonto sul mare non ha prezzo.....10 e lode...

Ho letto le recensioni negative di questo ristorante e mi è dispiaciuto molto perché noi abbiamo mangiato molto bene ..piatti genuini e abbondanti ottime le cozze alla Marinara, il fritto di pesce ...la melanzana ripiena ..gli spaghetti alle vongole Piatti di pesce fresco con ingredienti di qualità . Una location meravigliosa addirittura c è una veranda che ti permette di vedere il tramonto anche quando c è vento forte. Ci siamo stai 2 sere ottimo il vino e il sorbetto al limone . Ci hanno offerto il liquore al mandarino fatto da loro .. buonissimooo. Purtroppo l unica pecca ammetto sono un po' i camerieri..un pochino particolari. Nn proprio sorridenti o affabili. Ma io vado oltre alle apparenze. Anche la proprietaria ci è sembrata molto disponibile e carina . Io lo consiglio assolutamente
