I return to this restaurant after several years.
The pizzeria is no longer there but the management is the same. Very nice and kind owners, really excellent food. Must try. Reservation is recommended.

An exceptional New Year’s Eve dining experience
We had the greatest surprise for the New Year when we discovered this restaurant, without expecting such a fantastic menu.
This place alone is an excellent reason to come to Lecce to enjoy Italian cuisine in all its splendor.
The food was simply exceptional…
Each dish was a real delight, with perfectly mastered cooking.
The service was incredibly kind: simple, humble, but perfectly in line with the menu offered.
At the end of the meal, we were very surprised that this restaurant was not starred, as the experience was so fantastic.
We will definitely come back during our next visit to Lecce!

...(Ex Chef) Historic venue, the best restaurant to eat in Lecce, high quality food prepared with love☝️🫶 and competence, tradition and innovation, excellent bread products all prepared by them, I recommend the cereal focaccia prepared with onions of caramelized Tropea, excellent veal with tuna, carefully selected food prepared with extreme skill, unique and decisive flavours. A true journey into flavours. Beautiful, warm, welcoming environment, culture and tradition meet, not just a simple restaurant. First class owner and staff. Super recommended for those who have a real knowledge of food and a palate that knows they know quality and taste.

Magnificent evening at Torre di Merlino, characterized by quality, tasty cuisine and the family hospitality that the owners, Antonio and Manuela, reserved for us. Few times do you feel so comfortable in a place, feeling pampered and welcomed as we did yesterday.
Chef Antonio's menu offers a choice for all tastes, including traditional Salento land and sea dishes, cooked in an authentic yet refined way. Manuela is an excellent hostess, able to advise the customer and guide him in his choices.
We can't wait to return!

Questa sera, dopo diversi giorni nel Salento, sono finalmente riuscito a mangiare un piatto di orecchiette con le cime di rapa preparato come si deve. Le cime erano amare come la cicoria e inizialmente avevo pensato che fossero di un tipo particolare che cresce solo qui, ma poi ho scoperto che si tratta di una primizia e che le cime a inizio stagione sono amare. Ottimo anche il crostino con la stracciatella e le alici. Il pasticciotto scomposto invece lo avrei preferito meno bollente. Molto gentile la signora che mi ha amabilmente intrattenuto a parlare di tutto al momento del pagamento del conto (decisamente onesto) e mi ha offerto i biscottini con il vino dolce.

Hemos tenido un mes en Italia y esta fue la mejor comida de pasta que hemos tenido. El especial de la casa iba a morir, al igual que la tagliatelle boloñesa. Todos los aperitivos y entradas fueron una delicia. El vino era genial y el servicio era excelente. Magnífico.
