We went to the terrace during the week. The place is highly praised for how good the chicken is... we ordered two varieties of chicken: the classic one with potatoes and the one with provola, mushrooms, and potatoes. In my opinion, the one with provola was much tastier. That said, the chicken was well-cooked and definitely tasty. Although I was expecting something more... a more intense flavor and crispier skin.
The accompanying focaccia was good, but served cold.
As for the service, nothing to complain about... Definitely worth trying... I'll be back.

As an international student from India studying at the University of Fisciano, I have truly fallen in love with the food at Ristorante La Terrazza in Mercato San Severino. Every visit is a delightful experience.
The menu offers an amazing variety — from delicious pasta dishes and perfectly cooked spaghetti to mouth-watering pizza and irresistible desserts. But my absolute favorite is their famous Pollo Scucchiato, a roasted chicken that is bursting with authentic flavor. It’s easily the most delicious I’ve ever had!
I often come here with my friends, and each time we are welcomed warmly. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. The hospitality, combined with the genuine flavors of their dishes, makes every meal special.
To make it even better, the prices are very affordable, especially considering the quality and taste.
I highly recommend Ristorante La Terrazza to anyone looking for authentic, flavorful food and great service — all thanks to the passion and talent of proprietor-chef Michele & his son Stefano!!

Follow my review on trivago. Excellent food and welcoming, friendly, and above all helpful staff. Michele, the owner, is incredibly personable. Words are a bit of a stretch to visit, and everything is subjective, but it's definitely worth it.

If you're passing through, I recommend stopping here for this chicken. Cooking it in a wood-fired oven leaves it tender and crispy. The side potatoes are flavorful, with no added garlic or spices. A great find.

È stata sicuramente un’esperienza divisoria quella provata in questo ristorante.
A fare da padrone è stato il caos per la grande folla che si crea, l’ambiente rustico abbastanza spazioso ma all’entrata non si capisce bene a chi chiedere per sedersi al tavolo.
Quello che presumo essere lo chef è stato molto simpatico e cordiale, vedendo ad accertarsi che tutto andasse bene fra i tavoli, a differenza del cameriere che ci ha messo pressione per la scelta dei piatti più di una volta.
Abbiamo preso qualche antipasto ed un primo, entrambi nella media, prima di addentare il famoso pollo con patate che è risultato davvero ottimo.
Pollo croccante esternamente ma morbido all’interno, con una bella pellicina, patate ben cotte insaporite dai succhi della cottura del pollo.
