Delicious, generous, and fresh cuisine, ideally located in the center. We had the seafood spaghetti and a carbonara. Friendly staff. I recommend it.

I highly recommend the pasta with sardines, spectacular!!! In fact everything we ordered was super good!!!

One bottle of water, one Pesce Spada alla Marinara at €16, one Pesce Spada alla Griglia at €15 and only half a litre of lovely white wine at €7.50 cost €45.50. Quite embarrassed at the half litre of wine as we're English, sorry they are closed for five days so no more visits this Spring and we are regulars so we got a discount! We have encountered several French and German groups this past week. Where did they learn to queue rather than rudely push to the front? One large bottle of water, one litre of lovely white wine at €13, one wonderful Peace Spada alla Marinara at €16 and one Pacheri Ortigia (a local pasta dish) at €17 cost €53. We didn't order starters because we were already so full! But next time maybe the Caponata at €7 and the Verdure Grigliata at €6. Dinner on Saturday 18 May 2024. We were seated and served water immediately but I (foolishly) asked for the wine list from Jasmine. Even though the house wine is really lovely! One bottle of water, one litre of lovely house white at €13 (after bringing us a half litre. Hang on! We're English!), one Verdure Grigliate at €6, one Caponata at €7, one Pesce Spada alla Grigliate at €15 (this year with a marvellous accompaniment of dressed tomatoes plus lettuce and fennel) and one Spigola alla Griglia (sea bass) at €16 cost €64. Dinner on Monday 2 October 2023 Very busy tonight but we got seated at our reserved table immediately. Water, a good litre of house white @ €12, two times Insalata Mista @ €5 each, mains of Paccheri alla Norma (large cylinders of pasta with aubergines and ricotta cheese) @ €13 and Spigola alla Griglia (grilled sea bass) at €15 plus free after dinner digestifs (carob and orange zest) cost €55. We said goodbye to Jasmine and Simone with the promise of return visits next May. They are so nice and treat us like welcome friends! Dinner on Saturday 30 September 2023 Unbelievable! When we reserved a table we were remembered from our last visits! Water, a good litre of house white @ €12, starters of grilled vegetables @ €6 and mixed salad @ €5, mains of Pesce Spada alla Marinara @ €14 and Bigoli Carrettiera @ €11 and two coffees cost €56.

Feeling at home 1,400 km from home. Tavernetta Uno da Simone is a welcoming restaurant where you would never tire of returning. Simone is delicious like his food, my husband, our baby and I stayed 4 days in Syracuse and we always dined at his place. He won us over from the phone call to make the reservation, an attentive, helpful, friendly and humble person who shows in every way the love for his work and his restaurant. The dishes are truly delicious, served with care and with combinations that fully highlight every flavor, even the most delicate. A very respectable wine list where even the house wine satisfies the most demanding palates. We will definitely not fail to return to enjoy his menu! Thank you Simone! Restaurante tiene un montón de comentarios agradables y positivos. En cuanto al precio, está en el rango medio. La gente y el personal son amables, pero poco rara vez. Bastante tranquilo y no muy proactivo, pero amable manera. Comida sabia sin quejas. Clase media alta.
