La tavernetta In Carrara

15/08/2025: Bati Bati is now an institution in Marina di Carrara; I think even the lifeguard in the back row knows it. The atmosphere is simple, no frills, no flex—and that's fine. They serve both pizza and a restaurant, and obviously, in the middle of August, this combo means the kitchen sometimes takes a breather... as it did for us. No dramas, it was the Ferragosto holiday after all. The penne with scampi? A caress for the soul, 100% comfort food vibes. I tried the pizzas quickly, and the one with zucchini flowers, in my opinion, had more to tell. The fried food took a bit too long to arrive, but when it arrived... it was good, average, the kind that won't change your life but will keep you company. In short: a solid 3.5, a place that tells a bit of the history of Marina di Carrara, still frozen in certain postcards of the past... but with that charm that makes you say "come on, I'll go back".
