Had dinner here. The pasta was so good. Gelato was also good. The wine was too strong for me, I was not able to finish the smallest jug. Reserve a table before you go, it is busy place.

We were staying about 15 minutes away with not much nearby, so decided to head into Cortina d'Ampezzo and found La Tavernetta di Cortina on Google. I’m really glad we tried it — we had a lovely meal here! The restaurant is just a few minutes’ walk from the main high street, so nice and central. There’s no parking on-site but plenty of car parks nearby, so it’s not a problem. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, and the decor inside is really traditional and cosy. The staff were welcoming and, even though it was fairly busy, we got a table straight away. There’s a €3 coperto per person, which is pretty standard and didn’t bother us. Service was quick and friendly — we were seated right away, given time to choose, and the food came out promptly, which was ideal after a long day out walking. Drinks and mains were a little on the pricey side (e.g. €7 for a medium Coca-Cola), but the pizzas were very reasonably priced and there was loads of choice. We’ve been looking for a proper Neapolitan-style pizza with that soft, puffy crust (a lot of places nearby serve thin, flat ones), and these came very close. Freshly made, wood-fired, and absolutely delicious! If you’re in the area and fancy a good quality pizza spot, I’d definitely recommend La Tavernetta di Cortina.

The place is very cozy and the service was very attentive but we can't say the same about the food. We ordered a Calzone and a gluten-free pizza. We found that the dough was raw and we also think that they didn't drain the mozzarella and the pizza was watery. A rather inexpert mistake, especially for someone who offers calzones. We could only order water because the rest of the drinks were very expensive, as some Mediterraneans say. For celiacs, know that you can't eat pizza since it's only for gluten intolerant people, they cook everything in the same oven.

A recent stop for lunch was very enjoyable. The pasta with ragu was very good and the house wines are of an unbeatable value!

Heel tevreden over ons eerste bezoek, dus we keerden de volgende dag terug. Originele gerechten op de kaart. Heel lekker, redelijke prijzen en mooie porties. We vroegen beide keren 1 antipasti om te delen en dat was geen probleem. De bediening is heel vriendelijk, vlot en efficiënt.
