A huge thank you to the wonderful staff for their warm welcome, excellent service, and kind words. I don't know about the reviews, but the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The kindness and good manners were more than enough. 🌹 Greetings to Abu Abdulhai and Abu Abdullah. 🙏

I was with my kids and wife in Rome for one week. This was the worst restaurant in my life. I had no time to read reviews because traveling with kids can be a big pressure. My kids wanted pizza and they were really tired. My wife and me looked this terrace in shade a decided to go there. What mistake we did! When I read reviews I can see that we all had the same experience and we all where scammed by the same man. Italian police and inspection should close this restaurant because it is bad for complete tourism. Paper with prices is something you will see just here and to be honest this restaurant changed my perception of Italian service industry. To everyone, DON'T GO THERE!!!

His old-school charm and attentiveness truly set this restaurant apart. The highlight was the pasta, crafted from his wife’s homemade recipe, which was nothing short of delicious. You can taste the love and care that goes into every dish, all made in-house. We were so impressed with our lunch that we returned the very next day! With so many dining options in Rome, La Tavernetta stands out as a must-visit. If you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to experience this delightful spot. We can't wait to come back!

Avoid at all costs!!! I deliberately gave it 5 stars to boost my rating 😀 We ordered two double espressos for €12. He charged me €8 more, but no big deal. This review will cost him more 🤣

Had a quick lunch - omelette and Aperol Spritz 😉 Be prepared for "extra service" but don't accept it if you don't want to pay more "surcharges" Insistent "salesman" sitting at the door and really working to get customers to La Tavernetta - may seem a bit annoying, but on the other hand it's probably a lot of fun (Italian)

03/05/2026: Excellent for a nice breakfast, but nothing more. The dinner options leave much to be desired; they can be found in cheaper and, above all, tastier trattorias nearby.
06/04/2026: A perfect view of the basilica, a large selection of cakes and coffees. I was tempted by the chocolate-hazelnut cake with Nutella cream. Good, not too sweet. Prices are quite high; I paid 5 euros for a cappuccino, and about 10 for a cake. I suspect the café's higher prices are due to its location.
