Expectations did not match reality. Yes, the food is quite tasty, but the portion sizes are just ridiculous. We ordered pasta, I can’t say that they brought us a full dish, it was more like taking a sample, although the prices are high. The same goes for tagliata (meat)....it's not tagliata, but carpaccio. As a result, there is a chance to finish the meal and remain hungry.
On the contrary, I would like to praise and note the desserts. We really liked them. But we will definitely not return to this place again, since the price does not correspond to the quality and size of the contents in the dish. (I don’t recommend visiting this place...

I just arrived in Switzerland and I have time to finally thank you, you made our evening unforgettable, with all the extra dishes, the super friendly reception and service, but above all, and I didn't expect:

We first came here in 2021 and have returned to Siena ever since just for this restaurant. The food is outstanding—especially the tartare di filetto di manzo, tagliata aromatica, and all the dishes with truffle. The service is always warm and exceptional.

We have been coming to this restaurant for years every time we visit Siena, it is a must. For us, it is the best restaurant in the region. Special mention for the wild boar with milk and the tiramisù. A must do if you love good local cuisine. Professional and pleasant service. Reservation required, ideally several days in advance if you want to be sure of having a table.

A great classic from Siena to absolutely try if you are passing through. I let myself be tempted by the house specialty: simmered wild boar, it was excellent! Great selection of wines.

Quaint, charming setting with wonderfully prepared Tuscan favorites with a twist. We had our hotel in Rome call 2 weeks ahead for a 7:00 PM reservation. The request was accepted and it was related that the restaurant requested we be done by 8:45. A bit off putting. When we arrived we could see why. Service was factory-like. Everyone seemed to play a role, we had no specific server and all the help was in quick motion all evening. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing evening this is not your place. If you're looking for outstanding food of a regional nature I can't imagine it being better anywhere else. The wild boar in particular was exceptional. And yes we satisfied the required 8:45 cutoff time.

I had very positive memories of the tavern from many years ago and, while passing through Siena, I decided to return for lunch with my husband and my expectations were not disappointed! I ate really well, especially the pappardelle with wild boar, fantastic! The service was friendly and professional and the location super characteristic. I lived in Siena for many years and in my opinion it remains one of the best restaurants

Abbiamo prenotato presso questa taverna con caratteristiche turistiche per consumare il pranzo del 31. E' un locale che effettua doppi turni per cui occorre fare attenzione agli orari destinati all'occupazione del tavolo. Ampio locale ristrutturato, con volte in mattoni ancora a vista. Molti tavoli, ma l'altezza dei soffitti diluisce il rumore. Menù con piatti caratteristici toscani, di buona fattura. Rapporto qualità/prezzo buono.

Che bel posto abbiamo trovato!!! Vera cucina tipica senese e ottimi accostamenti con i vini. Abbiamo mangiato davvero bene in questo locale peccato per il giorno successivo non c'era posto. Tutto buono complimenti.
