I RECOMMEND IT. We ended up here a bit out of the blue. A charming restaurant, both for its decor, location, and the friendliness of the owner. We ordered a charcuterie board (varied and well-served) and a cheese board paired with various types of honey (a bit sparse in terms of quantity and variety). The place is a small treat for the palate and the views, secluded and peaceful.

Absolutely worth a try! A clear example that doing a few things almost always equals doing them well. A casual tavern in the historic center of Pienza with a thoughtful (and excellent) selection of simple dishes made with local ingredients! The vegan options are excellent, and upon request, they can adapt them to accommodate those like me who don't eat meat but do eat cheese. Very friendly staff and fast service. As they often say: we'll be back! The only flaw: they don't serve coffee (though a clearly visible sign outside warns of this, so no complaints...).

An amazing wine bar and a fantastic Giuseppe who immediately served us his delicious dishes and recommended the wine that accompanies them, if you find yourself in Pienza this is the place where you will feel Tuscany

We stumbled upon it by chance, looking for a less touristy place. We ordered a platter of Tuscan cured meats, truly excellent quality, and a mix of pecorino cheeses with compotes and honey, a wonderful pairing. The owner explained the dishes to us and recommended an excellent wine to pair them with. The meal was delicious. Highly recommended.

Seated in a gorgeous side street, the service here is extremely kind and welcoming, the food and wine - delicious. Great for a lunch stop.

Siamo stati alla taverna di re Artù per pranzo durante una gita a Pienza. Abbiamo preso un tagliere di salumi e due crostoni. La qualità dei prodotti è molto buona e i proprietari molto accoglienti. Consiglio per una pausa pranzo veloce.

13/07/2025: Nestled among the small, charming streets of Serre di Rapolano, whose ancient charm already enchants you, is the Hosteria del Benandante. The owner, Valentina, welcomes you with kindness and warmth, and you immediately feel welcome. Valentina doesn't just present the menu; she explains it to you, and with it, the dishes she prepares, which speak of a time-honored culinary tradition, local flavors, and forgotten recipes that are once again at the forefront. The menu is limited, and in my opinion, this isn't a flaw; on the contrary, it's the quality of the ingredients, the authentic flavors, and the meticulous preparation that take center stage. The portions are just right, sized to allow you to explore multiple options. You certainly won't leave hungry; on the contrary, you'll enjoy the experience, the time, the company, and the exceptional dishes. Trying the pappa al pomodoro and panzanella, or the pici with leeks and sausage, is a must. The turkey ossobuco is a true delight, and the "Chianti tuna" is a true gem of traditional cuisine. The desserts are also truly excellent. We hope to return soon to try the rest!

Il Kiosko Di Milkone

10/09/2025: Just the place I was looking for to stop for lunch before the long ride back to Milan by motorcycle. A small kiosk with a myriad of options, all featuring local products and recipes, the kind that make your mouth water just reading the menu 😋. Lampredotto, tripe, tongue, porchetta, and liver served in sandwiches or kebabs or as main courses, along with a remarkable selection of pasta dishes. Given the journey ahead, I had to eat lightly and opted for a delicious fresh sausage and stracchino sandwich accompanied by a small beer for a total of €9.50. I've saved the address; I'll see you again when I'm back in the area 😊.
05/09/2025: Wonderful discovery. Excellent food, excellent service. Better than many restaurants.
