The food is divine, everyone is very kind and ready to satisfy every request. It's a shame to live so far away....
Ate here also on June 25, 2025 evening.
I don't know what else to say...... I would return only for the tagliolini with black garlic: mamma mia, how good.

Thank you for this wonderful evening! Anyone visiting Volterra should treat themselves to dinner and a bottle of wine in a pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere! The value for money is really good, and the owner and his family are passionate about their hospitality! Even in bad weather, there are plenty of tables available in the basement in a wonderful setting. We'd love to come back, preferably after 7 p.m., when most of the tourists have left the city and peace has returned to the beautiful streets. You can also sample a few whiskeys here in this tavern from Middle Earth... see you soon!
P.S.: The photo of the snack plate actually included bruschetta and a loaf of bread with olive oil... but the child already ate it...

Small portions, a first course for 20 euros with maybe 60 grams of pasta. The owner who acts nice and then gives you a surprise with the price, without a receipt, by the way. Three glasses of wine that on the menu were 4 euros each and then I found myself with 25 euros on the pre-bill. After an argument he took 12 euros off me. It's true that tourists are a resource, but restaurateurs, except for a few, should be more honest and more polite, without sending go f.... The customer who rightly complains. The waitress was kind.

We stopped, intrigued by the particular aspect of the restaurant. The owner, very kind, accompanied us into the tavern, making us discover an environment made of ancient walls that was truly unexpected.
The waitress who served us was very kind, also giving us some small advice.
The food in general was good, some small defaiance that I forgave for the friendly atmosphere.
Average prices.
I would recommend it... I would go back

Everything about our experience was amazing! The wine cellar was gorgeous. The food tasted delicious. The employees were incredibly friendly. I would give this place six stars if I could!

The best of the best, we passed by there by chance visiting the city and we were struck by the menu and the location, spectacular... excellent quality food, the owner speaks to you with sincerity and doesn't sell you products to make money, he cares a lot about quality and if you rely on him you will surely have a fantastic culinary experience! Breathtaking Fiorentina, unique experience and it will be my special place when I return to Volterra.
