I have a particular fondness for this restaurant. I particularly like the summer expanse under the colonnade, their excellent meat and the kind, friendly and helpful staff. Last Saturday we found ourselves at 9am, without having booked anywhere, having to eat with 4 of us, plus two friends. They welcomed us with extreme courtesy, including the dog. In a few minutes they set the table for us on the porch and took our orders. My friends and my husband took advantage of the fact that there were fresh porcini mushrooms on the menu and took the potato tortelli with porcini mushrooms, which they really appreciated. I preferred the pumpkin tortelli, which were not particularly tasty (perhaps due to the pumpkin) but were accompanied by the best sautéed meat I have eaten in years, so much so that we all took the opportunity to make ourselves a delicious slipper. My husband and my friends, second course, had gnocco and tigelle with cured meats and spreads, while I ordered their wonderful Fassona tartare. A delight. Knife-cut meat, lightly seasoned, accompanied by two types of mustard and balsamic vinegar. For me the best I have tasted in Reggio Emilia restaurants. Finally, someone took some excellent homemade desserts (respectable portions) and we were offered the house digestives. More than satisfied, as always.

On a quiet Sunday in Reggio Emilia, we decided to try this place renowned for its Emilian specialties, and I must say that expectations were met!
The Erbazzone, with its crunchy pastry and rich filling, was simply delicious and immediately captured our palate. But the real protagonist of the lunch was the fried gnocco, served with top quality cured meats.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish the meat, not due to lack of quality, but because we had overdone it with the fried gnocco and cured meats, irresistible in their simplicity.
In conclusion, Pierre Degustateur is honored to savor such delicacies in this corner of Emilia.

I was there for dinner with friends, a nice place with a summery area, traditional dishes, I had tagliatelle with wild boar sauce, good! As a second course I took an off-menu, hamburger with fries, good. Sangiovese house wine, water and bitters offered. Good service, average prices.
