Generous portions, and the presentation was pretty good. But if I'm being honest, and I hope it makes sense, the flavor didn't strike me as particularly refined. The mushroom and truffle cream used in the tortellini lacked the right balance and had some solid particles that I couldn't quite figure out. The fried octopus with saffron sauce, also very generous, was undercooked. I can't give it a 5-star rating, as I expected, sorry.

We visited Beppe and Arianna (the owners) twice during our stay in Assisi. I should start by saying we have two dachshunds, but they welcomed us warmly from the start. The atmosphere was clean and tidy. We ate really well, with generous portions and professionally prepared food. We only ordered Umbrian dishes, even though the restaurant specializes in seafood. We'll definitely try that next time. Thanks again, and see you soon. BRAVI

Extraordinary pasta with clams and peppered mussels. Friendly and courteous staff. Highly recommended. If you're looking for fresh southern-style seafood, even here in Assisi, Maestrale is the place to go.

Firs waitress was nice spoke english got us water from start it was nice, well second one taking payment wasnt covering pissed looking face, even shouted angrily bon giorno whan i was trying to go to toillet right way. Amazing how overpriced here it is for simple food, in our country like 2,5x cheaper, they take couvert automaticly, and suggest you another big couvert, and some of the doesnt even cosider good manners, with behaving like this restaurant would die in my country, price for italy is normal like 20 euros per person, but manners awful ...

Grande Peppe serves killer seafood dishes. It truly feels like being in Puglia! The fish is incredibly fresh, the portions generous, and he knows how to present the ingredients! He and his family are brilliant! For me, it's the best seafood restaurant in the area!
