The place is very nice and particular in the center of Lucca. The owners are very courteous and try to make customers feel at ease. The counter is made from an ancient fireplace, the beer tap is an old late stove, background music is played by sewing machines as tables. The cured meats, displayed in a suspended display case, are all artisanal from Garfagnana, the cheeses come from local producers; the bread is white multigrain stone-ground flour and supplied by a Lucca bakery. Absolutely worth trying.

Best family led local sandwich shop, opened by our family friends, the owner uses the most niche and tasty ingredients in both food and drinks! Must try their special artisanal beer and coffee 🫶🏻

I give three stars because I was not satisfied with the service. However, it was also my fault for going during tourist hours where it is easy to be overshadowed by foreigners who pay more.
We stopped for a sandwich and two beers and I can only compliment them on both, however they arrived to serve us half an hour late, charging us 1 euro each for table service.
Top quality raw materials and products but little honesty.

We stopped to have a few beers before eating and we were pleasantly surprised. Very delicious local beer. They put a skewer of sausages with each drink. Excellent service and great atmosphere.

Overlooking san Michele church...this is my go to spot. Federico, the owner will treat you like gold! Sit outside and cherish Lucca!

For it was just a convenient place to meet friends for a few drinks, but the service and drinks (with snack) were good and the host cheerful and informative.
In better weather you can sit outside, as it was raining we were inside, it was Monday so only a couple of other customers, just as well as the bar area seats only 8-10.
Well worth a stop by if you have a little time to spare.

I love places like this, a nice platter full of typical local products, delicious local bread and a healthy spritz. The staff was very welcoming and helpful in bringing us more bread, even though we were out on a January evening it was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
