La Tana del Boia In Lucca

A small place in the heart of Lucca, but with tables available in the square. It offers a selection of delicious, freshly made sandwiches. Good value. Recommended for a quick lunch. The beers are pretty good.

Whenever I go to Tuscany, there's always that moment when I crave a good sandwich with typical regional cured meats. In Lucca, I was lucky enough to stumble upon La Tana del Boia, a place that truly excels in its cured meats and sandwiches. We ordered two sandwiches with porchetta and pecorino cheese, and honestly, I don't think I've ever had such a good sandwich in Italy. Even today, my friend and I rave about it. The bread was soft, slightly warm, and generously filled with truly exceptional porchetta, the best I've ever tasted. For just €8, I was incredibly satisfied. The red wine, selected from local wineries in the surrounding hills, was also excellent, and perfectly complemented the meal. The service was friendly and very fast. I highly recommend this place: for me, it's one of the most surprising places in Lucca.

Very friendly staff and delicious sandwiches with specialty meats from the region! The spritzes were also refreshing. The terrace is nicely located next to a square. Go here for an authentic local aperitvo vibe.

We decided to have an aperitivo before a concert. It was definitely a chaotic day. Half an hour's wait for a table (there aren't many seats). Two well-prepared gin and tonics, not watered down at all. A large platter with a good amount of bread and local cured meats. We spent €39. I think it's absolutely adequate for the location (Piazza San Michele). Definitely worth trying again.

We had an aperitivo here a couple of years ago, and remembering the great experience, we came back. What can I say? Everything was excellent once again! We ordered a platter, which we highly recommend, like the panterino, perfect for those who don't want to drink alcohol but still want something good! We'll definitely be back!

A breath of fresh air in the crowded square of bars and cafes! The decor is so unique that you can't help but gaze around in fascination, while the owner behind the counter prepares you a delicious lunch. The music is also part of the entertainment, and the waitress's ease is equally appreciated. Affordable prices for a great result. We'll definitely be back!

Bel locale in una delle piazze più rinomate di Lucca, abbiamo provato questo locale dopo aver letto varie recensioni positive...buona la birra artigianale e prezzo onesto , veloce e professionale la ragazza che ci lavora , ma il panino propio NO! 2 fette di pane con una fetta di salame insapore e il pecorino toscano meno saporito che abbiamo mai mangiato in toscana a 8 euro mi sembra troppo esagerato. Purtroppo subito dopo abbiamo visto altri locali con un'offerta più ampia e prezzi più bassi, non in piazza ma chissene..
