La Tana In Valfurva

We took a short vacation to Santa Caterina and while searching for a restaurant, we chose La Tana. Delicious food. Very friendly staff, willing to make changes to the menu. We also returned for a pizzeria. Delicious!

Opinion of a tourist from Taranto. I stayed for a week, and returned four times. Coming from Puglia and ordering pizza three nights in a row says it all about the pizza chef. The wood-fired ovens are small, yes, but the pizza chef puts his heart and soul into the toppings. I tried three starters, and each met my and my guests' expectations. The owner also has a measured sense of humor that both teases and caresses you. The staff—I call them collaborators—are extremely kind, yet professional in their detailed descriptions, including the origins of the product we're about to order. Compliments also to the chef; I mopped up the pizza after the first course I ordered. And where does all this fit in? In a setting with pillars and wooden beams. Congratulations, if I ever return, I'll be back.

extremely good overall. cured meats were exceptional, all local and fresh. Pizzoccheri were very nicely done and to finish there was a real good pizza with a tasty tomato sauce and fresh porcini mushroom. Very friendly and enjoyable service

Wood-fired oven and very good pizzas in size and quality. Friendly service.

Good, unfortunately the place suffers from nearby construction work that ruins the view.

Not the best pizza of my life, but the staff was friendly and the food was tasty. The restaurant was quite empty during our visit so we were served fast.

The pizza was very good and light! The service was attentive and kind, overall a great experience. Highly recommended.

Even though we arrived very late for lunch, we were welcomed and served very well and we enjoyed it so much that we also returned for dinner, despite being able to choose from many fine restaurants nearby. Very welcoming environment for families with children and staff very helpful with various requests. Compliments to the chef, especially for the fillet, prepared to perfection (which is not easy or obvious). Highly recommended

Abbiamo prenotato presso questo locale su consiglio della nostra struttura ricettiva. Prenotato qualche giorno prima del nostro arrivo, per la nostra prima cena a santa caterina, per 11 persone, primo turno ( 19.30-21.00). Purtroppo durante il nostro viaggio di arrivo abbiamo avuto uno spiacevole imprevisto, ci si è rotta la macchina, abbiamo caricato i figli sulle auto dei restanti amici della nostra comitiva e abbiamo intrapreso un viaggio infernale (carro attrezzi/taxi/auto a noleggio) che ci ha fatto arrivare a destinazione alle 20.30, dopo ben 14 ore di viaggio. Raggiungiamo i nostri amici e i nostri figli alla Tana, stravolti, consapevoli dell'ora tarda, per recuperare i bambini. Mi sono seduta nel mio posto (ovviamente rimasto vuoto), ordinando una birra e un tiramisu, spiegando la situazione ad una cameriera sbuffante (non avevamo modificato la prenotazione da 11 a 9 posti perché speravamo di arrivare in tempo, e saremmo arivati in tempo se non avessimo trovato anche un incidente a Lecco). Sono arrivati alle nostre orecchie commenti molto spiacevoli da parte del personale del locale (cito: "questi arrivano alle 21 solo per ordinare la birra" e "speriamo che si sbrighino a lasciare il tavolo per il secondo turno"... non c'era comunque nessuno in attesa per occupare i tavoli del secondo turno). Oggettivamente la cucina era soddisfacente, le persone del nostro gruppo hanno magiato una buona pizza, buoni i pizzoccheri e buono anche il mio tiramisu. Ma sinceramente ho trovato il personale complessivamente molto sgarbato.
