My experience at this restaurant was a great and incredible surprise. I came in with the intention of eating local food, not pizza. But in the end I ordered the pizza 'Ndujata. I am a pizza expert from Accademia Pizzaioli and a judge at the World Pizza Championships. I was amazed from the first bite. The dough was extraordinarily light, digestive, delicious and crunchy at the same time. UNBELIEVABLY.
I came to the conclusion that one of the best pizzas in Italy is made in Matera. Really crazy and incredible.

La Talpa is a beautiful restaurant in the center of Matera, on one of the main arteries of the Sassi.
You are welcomed with warmth and friendliness, as well as professionalism, a beautiful place carved into the stone, a varied menu and delicious food, top quality/price ratio, absolutely worth trying...

Se ci fossero altre cinque stelle le avrei date senza pensarci mezza volta.
In quattro al tavolo entriamo subito in confidenza con lo staff e con il locale stesso.
Locale bellissimo all’interno di un sasso, curato in ogni dettaglio.
Cucina a vista e servizio al top.
Sabatino il Meitre e Isam il cameriere super simpatici, ti mettono a tuo agio e ti fanno sentire letteralmente a casa.
Cibo top e rapporto qualità prezzo apprezzatissimo.
Le due ragazze al servizio simpaticissime e sempre, ripeto sempre, sorridenti, cosa che si vede sempre meno nei locali,
Sorriso ovviamente su tutti i membri dello staff, dalla cassa, alla brigata.
Una bellissima serata.

Ho cenato molto bene in questo posto che consiglio per la posizione. Ottimi gli antipasti, buona la carne meno i dolci. Nel complesso esperienza positiva. Prezzo medio-alto.
