La Serra In Roma

We stayed at the hotel for four days, but unfortunately, the breakfast was exactly the same every morning. A shame. The drinks at the bar are overpriced. The rooms are clean. To get into the city, you can use the shuttle bus, which takes you to the metro. Unfortunately, the shuttle costs €10 per person each way, and you still have to take the metro afterward.

Great location! Close to the major attractions This is a very comfortable hotel for families with the pools , restaurant, bar and parking and playground

Kudos to the staff... I don't remember the names of the receptionists who greeted us on arrival on Friday, December 5th at 8:30 PM. They were very kind, friendly, and super helpful. We will definitely be back, especially for them. They should all have employees of this caliber.

Excellent service, helpful staff. You can easily reach downtown via public transportation, unless if it's a general stike. However during the night it's muxh easier to take a cab. Would recommend.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Parco de’ Medici for our last night in Rome, mainly because we had an 11:00 a.m. flight out of FCO the next morning. The location is about 15 minutes from the airport, which is convenient on paper—but there are several things to consider before booking. Hotel Stay The hotel itself needs renovation and does not feel like a true 4-star property. The rooms are dated, the double beds are quite small, and while the heating worked, it was actually too hot, forcing us to sleep with the windows open. There are no power outlets by the bed, only a single USB port, which isn’t ideal for anyone who needs to charge multiple devices. If you use a CPAP machine, definitely bring an extension cord or request one from the front desk. The hotel offers a shuttle to the airport, but it runs only once per hour and comes with an extra fee. In most situations, it’s easier and faster to grab a taxi. And when you add up the transportation costs, it may actually be cheaper and more convenient to stay at the Hilton directly at FCO or even remain in central Rome for your last night, depending on your plans. La Serra Restaurant Because the hotel is isolated, La Serra is essentially the only dinner option—and thankfully, it’s good. We had fresh burrata with tomatoes, carbonara, amatriciana, and tiramisù. The food was well-prepared and tasty, though prices are a bit higher than what you’d pay in Rome. Service was friendly, and it turned out to be a solid meal after a long day. Breakfast Breakfast the next morning was excellent and actually exceeded expectations. The pastries were incredibly fresh, and the buffet even included fresh mozzarella, which was a great touch. A very enjoyable start to the day. Overall If you’re staying here for an early flight, it works—but be aware of the limitations. Between the outdated rooms, limited shuttle, and transportation costs, you might find better value by staying elsewhere. The restaurant and breakfast are definite positives, but the hotel itself could use a serious refresh.

Welcoming and comfortable as always, a given. The rooms are impeccably clean and equipped with every comfort. A nitpick is the lack of power outlets near the beds, only USB ports that aren't compatible with modern Type-C chargers. Highly recommended in the Parco Mediceo area.

The food was tasty, but the portions weren't very generous. The tiramisu was delicious. The heating was on and the room was very hot, which wasn't pleasant...

I liked it overall. It's located in a techno park, I guess... there's practically nothing around. The hotel is old, with tired plumbing. But it's very clean. And the rooms are spacious, which is rare these days. There's a kettle in the room. There's an ice maker on the floor. The breakfasts are very good. The coffee... It's like Italy... the coffee is wonderful.
