La Serra In Roma

Hotel is 15 minutes on the train from FCO and 30 minutes from Roma Termini this hotel is fabulous. I stay in IHG branded hotels regularly and this is uo there with the best. The staff have just got it right and are so friendly and professional…..A great stay!

The hotel is located little out if the way from main city but near a railway station. The trains are quite infrequent though and Google map location for station is wrong.

The Holiday Inn Rome Parco dei Medici was a decent stay overall. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was fine. Staff was helpful and check-in was smooth. The location is far from the main attractions in downtown Rome, so expect a longer commute if you are planning to sightsee. The biggest issue was the parking. The lot was very small, and we had to wait a long time for taxis to move so we could get out. Even with those issues, the hotel is a good option if you want a quiet place away from the city or if you are traveling for business. Just be ready for parking problems and longer travel times

Its well maintained place despite the old building, no bad smell, the beds are very comfortable with 4 pilllows. The service people are very nice and helpful. But the restaurant food is not tasty. I ordered a grilled chicken burger but it came deep fried. The next day i ordered the meet burger it came not cooked. I definitely not recommend to eat in the restaurant. Better to eat in different place or get some food from outside. Otherwise the place in decent for the money paid.

The rooms are big enough but there are two minus points. The location is not good if you want to stay longer and explore Rome. If you are food lover then this is not the place for you.

Excellent compromise between business hotel and tourist

We chose this hotel for its proximity to FCO Airport and the shuttle service that it provides. The shuttle costs €10 one way and takes about 10 minutes. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The rooms were pretty standard. It feels like an older hotel and the walls are thin. The problem is if you are seeking food. Unless you eat at the hotel restaurant, which has pleasant service but pretty terrible menu choices. Otherwise, you have to take a taxi to a nearby restaurant due to the highways that surround this location.
