La Ruota In Scalenghe

We booked a table for two a couple of hours before on their whatsapp number. I liked that they responded to us instantly. They placed us on the first floor. The environment is familiar and comfortable. We ate very well, paying an amount equal to the quality of the raw materials. Very good customer service. I recommend the mixed starter and the veal with tuna sauce. The meringue pie was very good!

Let me start by saying that we went to the Wheel on a day with a fixed menu. Adequate value for money. The food is good, unpretentious but good. The wine leaves a little to be desired. Excellent service The environment is a little too shabby. To have a meal without spending too much I would go back

For the price you pay you can't expect more, the service is ok, the portions could be slightly improved and the dishes updated.

Historic restaurant in Scalenghe. Nice and welcoming place. Only the interior of the venue needs to be revised for a refresh of color to be cutting-edge and at the top. Excellent and quality dishes. Starting from the appetizers and ending with the desserts. Competent and qualified staff on the subject. The owner is very kind and courteous and at the end of the evening he also asks you how it went and if there are any complaints. Pay attention to customers above all. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it.

Spartan environment... you eat Piedmontese style in a trattoria... if you are looking for a refined environment it is not suitable for you... you eat well here!!!

The food is good, good Beppe, the only flaw is the bull

Quanti ricordi ogni volta che arrivo in questo ristorante/trattoria di Scalenghe! Me lo consigliarono i miei, credo circa quarant'anni fa. ,Quando chiesi loro dove avrei potuto portare i colleghi per una cena informale, mi suggerirono immediatamente "LA RUOTA di Scalenghe". Un ristorante per loro famigliare. Allora il locale era ancora gestito dai genitori di Beppe l'attuale patron. Chiariamo subito che LA RUOTA è la classica trattoria di campagna. Chi vorrebbe un ristorante chic e pretenzioso è meglio che giri alla larga e vada da Cannavacciuolo od in qualche altro locale più o meno stellato. Qui si mangia in modo ruspante ed all'antica, ovvero in altre parole. . . finalmente si mangia. Le tovaglie ed i tovaglioli sono di carta, ma i bagni sono puliti. Le cameriere non vestono una livrea firmata ma non sono altezzose ne avare nel servire, bensì sempre gentili e professionali con tutti. I piatti sono quelli semplici della cucina di casa nostra, non aspettatevi di trovare il Brasato al Barolo o Le Canard à l'Orange ma il risotto di Beppe è sempre gustoso così come l' arrosto. Nel prezzo, più che mai onesto, tutto compreso è incluso anche il vino in bottiglia, semplicemente rosso, oppure bianco. Chi vorrebbe pasterggiare con un Barbaresco del 2019 anche in questo caso può rivolgersi altrove . . . pagando ovviamente un prezzo almeno dieci volte superiore. Ed infine come si può non stimare Beppe, che per quanto mi riguarda è uno dei gestori più onesti che io conosca. Consigliabile prenotare con largo anticipo, la Domenica è sempre sold out.

Finalmente...dopo tato tempo sono riuscita ad pranzare in questo ristorante. Locale molto semplice e rustico, molto grande ma nel weekend meglio prenotare. Con 22 euro non si esce con la fame, il menù comprende 5 antipasti, 2 primi, 2 secondi, dolce e caffè, anche il bere è incluso (pure i vini). Diciamo che come italiano è ancora uno dei pochi che con 20 euro ti danno molto. Da provare
