Good food, good value for money

We stumbled upon it by chance a few years ago, and given the welcome, this is our third time back. The food is good, the atmosphere is clean and welcoming, and the owners are incredibly kind, making you feel at home. I forgot to mention the excellent value for money.

The food is excellent, the staff is courteous, the owner is a person from another era.

Mrs. Franca and Mr. Paolo are exquisite people, the menus are always fresh and changing, the staff is kind and professional on a daily basis... what can I say, excellent?

Ristorante La Ruota presents itself well: a well-kept location, a not very spacious environment and an average menu, with land-based options. The restaurant is suitable for family dinners but not for small events. That said, the experience was mixed. Some dishes were well executed, such as the appetizers and the pasta, tasty and with fresh ingredients. However, other dishes were not entirely convincing: for example, the second courses arrived lukewarm and with a rather simple presentation, which clashed a bit with the proposed price. The service was also inconsistent: the staff is kind, but a bit distracted. We had to ask for water and bread several times, and the wait between one course and another was above average, even though the restaurant was not full. The bill was a bit high compared to the overall quality of the experience. This is not a failure, but there is certainly room for improvement both in the kitchen and in the organization of the service. In short: a restaurant with good potential, but which should focus more on consistency and customer care to really make a difference.
