07/06/2026: This restaurant is truly a hidden gem, its potential wasted by the owner's "cool and aloof" demeanor!
Before coming, I read many reviews, and many mentioned the owner's attitude was a bit harsh, which made me a little apprehensive. But I figured the most important thing about a restaurant is the food, and everyone has a different personality and way of expressing themselves, so we decided to give it a try anyway. The result? A wonderful surprise!
Our group of five ordered two appetizers, two main courses, and four main dishes. Every dish was generously portioned, authentically seasoned, and made with incredibly fresh ingredients. Most remarkably, everyone finished every last bite; not a single dish was disappointing. It was clear the kitchen had put a lot of effort into the ingredients and the presentation; it was a very local and heartfelt meal.
As for the owner, who was the subject of much discussion, she did have a rather serious expression throughout and spoke quite directly, not the particularly warm and outgoing type. However, on a side note, her outfit that day was exceptionally beautiful, with exquisite details and a sparkly finish, making her stand out as she bustled around the restaurant. I wanted to compliment her several times, but seeing her consistently serious expression, I ultimately held back.
Actually, during my time there, I didn't encounter any unpleasant situations. On the contrary, I could tell she was genuinely dedicated to running the restaurant; it's just that her way of expressing herself is a bit different from the service style many people are used to. If she could occasionally smile a little more, I believe it would greatly enhance the customer experience.
It's worth mentioning that the male servers and the chubby chef were exceptionally warm and friendly, providing attentive service throughout, making the entire dining experience relaxed and enjoyable.
If, like us, you prioritize the food itself rather than overly enthusiastic service, then this restaurant is definitely worth a try. Don't be deterred by the "aloof" reputation, because the food here is absolutely worth a special trip.
21/05/2026: Good restaurant with average prices. Very friendly staff. We had the guanciale in both versions (Siena-style and with mushrooms), both excellent and expertly cooked.
