La Rocca at Castelfalfi is a dream come true if you enjoy masterfully prepared dishes that are composed of locally sourced ingredients and combine flavor and texture in ways you can't imagine. Chef Davide De Simone and his crew really outdid themselves with incredible combinations. Every course of the tasting menu was exceptional and creative, but the escargots and the risotto just blew us away. As always, the people make the difference, in our case Mr Jacopo made us feel at home from the minute we stepped into the gorgeous dining room. We were seated in a dining room all to ourselves with breathtaking views and access to the outside. The Manager, Enea and our server, Matteo were outstanding in their hospitality. They were warm and intuitive, striking the perfect balance between attentive and unobtrusive. The staff’s knowledge of both food and wine is impressive, and their genuine passion for hospitality adds a personal touch that lingers long after the final course. Dining at La Rocca feels like being invited to a secret table at the top of the world—a place where time slows, flavors deepen, and every detail is designed to delight. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply seeking an extraordinary escape, this mountaintop gem is a must-visit. It’s not just a meal—it’s a memory.

We had the privilege of dining in a splendid 1400s fortress, expertly renovated, which retains all the charm of the time enriched by contemporary elegance. The evening began with an aperitif on the terrace, accompanied by a suggestive view and an impeccable welcome. The "Primavera d'autore" menu was an extraordinary culinary experience. Each dish, cared for in the smallest details, was able to amaze us with refined ingredients and new, surprising and perfectly balanced combinations. The harmony of flavors and the beauty of the presentations speak of a creative, conscious and deeply inspired cuisine. The pairing of wines, selected and explained with great expertise by a highly trained sommelier, enhanced each course, creating a complete and coherent sensory journey. A round of applause also for the attention to the customer, truly impeccable: every gesture of the staff conveys passion, professionalism and care. An experience that goes well beyond dinner: a journey through flavors, history and excellence.

A very beautiful historical place. There are beautiful views all around. In spring, we recommend a walk in the garden.

Un viaggio tra gusto, storia e raffinatezza Abbiamo avuto il privilegio di cenare in una splendida rocca del 1400, sapientemente ristrutturata, che conserva tutto il fascino del tempo arricchito da un'eleganza contemporanea. La serata è iniziata con un aperitivo in terrazza, accompagnato da una vista suggestiva e un'accoglienza impeccabile. Il menù "Primavera d'autore" è stato un'esperienza culinaria straordinaria. Ogni piatto, curato nei minimi dettagli, ha saputo stupirci con ingredienti ricercati e abbinamenti inediti, sorprendenti e perfettamente equilibrati. L’armonia dei sapori e la bellezza delle presentazioni parlano di una cucina creativa, consapevole e profondamente ispirata. L’abbinamento dei vini, selezionati e spiegati con grande competenza da un sommelier preparatissimo, ha esaltato ogni portata, creando un percorso sensoriale completo e coerente. Un plauso anche all’attenzione al cliente, davvero impeccabile: ogni gesto del personale trasmette passione, professionalità e cura. Very nice, romantic, very nice place. The garden at the entrance is very well kept. From the garden and the fortress you can see a beautiful panorama, green hills, a pond and fairy-tale houses. The Fortress can be reached along a pedestrian street. It's just a shame that during this period the local shops are closed, including the ice cream shop. Anyway worth visiting.
