It's a beautiful and welcoming restaurant with soft lighting and tables in the garden. As soon as you enter, there's a large table full of fabulous appetizers, including a wide variety of vegetables: asparagus, delicious and sweet baked pumpkin, peperonata (a spicy dish of peppers), eggplant mushrooms, zucchini, green beans, boiled potatoes, grilled tomatoes, but also cured meats, frittatina (fried omelette), small soft goat cheeses, giant green Cerignola olives, baby artichokes in oil, anchovies—in short, a veritable feast of delicacies, and you can help yourself, choosing whatever you like. A lovely way to start! Then there are many typical Ferrarese dishes, such as pumpkin tortellacci with butter and sage, as well as tagliatelle or pappardelle, with chanterelles or porcini mushrooms in season, and eggplant parmigiana—in short, a truly extensive menu. The desserts are also very good, including the truly exquisite Sicilian cassata. Extensive wine list. Friendly and attentive service. The restaurant is located on a wonderful, quiet cobblestone street lined with flowering trees and beautiful old houses, just steps from the famous Palazzo dei Diamanti, which often hosts prestigious art exhibitions.

Spectacular restaurant with impeccable service and refined food. I definitely recommend the first courses, but this place truly excels in both sweet and savory fried dishes.

Italien dinner at it’s best! With the extra personal touch, beyond expectations. Everything we had was excellent and the Vitelli tonnato was the best ever, ( and we have tried a few).Such a great service, professional and genuine, giving the extra personal touch for a full experience. Very good value for money.

A spacious restaurant located on Ferrara's most beautiful street, Corso Ercole D'Este. The signature dish is the Italian-style mixed fried fish. Highly recommended.

Located on a picturesque street that is between the Castle and the pedestrian/bike path on the city walls. We stopped by for lunch and then returned again for dinner. The restaurant serves a neighborhood crowd which usually signals good food. The wait staff was helpful and offered good suggestions. A great meal and dining experience.

Historic restaurant, located in one of the most beautiful streets of Ferrara. Typical local dishes but with a touch of personalization. Good service and correct bill. The lack of the last star? It is soon said the buffet appetizer is varied and tasty, but some dishes were a bit too cold. With more attention the last star would still be achieved surely and easily.

Da anni, anzi decenni mancavo da questo bel ristorante di solida tradizione ed ho ritrovato le stesse sensazioni: un ambiente "invecchiato bene" ottimamente mantenuto, con tavoli ben distanziati, un'atmosfera gradevole ed un servizio professionale. Niente di tutto ciò è scontato, oggidì. La cucina è quella della tradizione ferrarese e, se si resta in quell'ambito (come noi) non ci sono sorprese. Tenendo conto del livello del locale, della qualità della cucina e della location splendida, nel cuore della Ferrara rinascimentale, il rapporto qualità/prezzo è ottimo.

Location unica, pranzo eccellente con prodotti di qualità in relax nel giardino esterno. Proprietario molto gentile e attento ai clienti. Grazie!
